Nope. Just a Stockholm syndrome forever loop mate.

Levy is playing a blinder. Leaves all the key business until the final day gets us all hot under the collar with attempts at all sorts of signings (none of which are realistic) then either we sign no one at all or just Johnson which we drag out until the very last minute so that the fans are begging that at least that deal gets done, expectations are lowered, what we actually need and have needed since day 1 of the summer window is forgotten and we all carry on until we fuck up on the pitch due to the manager being hamstrung, in this case at CB and we all clamour to try and fix it during the next window and the cycle repeats and repeats, meanwhile we don’t compete or win any trophies and drift between 4-8th in the league, whilst Levy and ENIC continue to turn a bigger and bigger profit.

He knows EXACTLY what he is doing and our fans fall for it or just submissively accept it over and over.
Our key business was a gk, cb and attacking midfielder.

We did that early enough. All 3 look like excellent signings.

We seem to have failed in getting enough depth in, especially in centre back. The rest is fine. It would've been nice to upgrade Hojbjerg, but I think that's more down to atletico being dicks.

Long story short we are ALWAYS left short in numerous areas, that is the main point so it doesn’t matter which area you paint as our ‘key area’ ultimately we are always left short one way or another and we don’t need to be, especially not this summer when we’ve sold our record goal scorer for £100mil!

Don't worry he will do better in winter transfer window. Except that one is more inflated so probably next Summer then. Except it's hard to get rid of our players and squad is bloated. Maybe winter of 2025.

It’s also a lot to do with our deadwood being so bad that no half decent team wants them (or can pay even a reasonable amount) and/or the players themselves have overly high opinions of themselves.

We then sold Kane.

I think Daniel is a genuinely interesting psychological case. He gets us close, he has everything in place, even when he gets the right people, and he's on the verge of getting it right, when it comes to really going for it he just can't do it.

I think there's some deep rooted trauma in there where he doesn't really feel like he's worthy of success. And that translates into self sabotage, just when he's starting to get the taste of success. It terrifies him. So he'll pore over the details of a deal and convince himself it's in the club's best interests not to do it, but in truth he is so deeply lacking in self worth that he cannot allow himself to succeed as his psyche couldn't tolerate it.

Deep down in his subconscious, Daniel hates himself and his guardianship of Tottenham Hotspur is him playing out his traumas with us all along for the ride. Getting close but then fucking yourself over right at the last hurdle, it's what he does. It's repeated behaviour. It will never stop.

Shit, that pretty much sounds like such an accurate description of how I've been running my life these past few years. I guess I don't hate Daniel anymore, just feel a lot of pity and sadness for him. :D:cry:

Let's see the departures then in the next three weeks.

I doubt Levy is taking the alleged haircuts that's been bandied about by ITK's...highly doubtful and therefore Ange won't get the targets he needs to play front foot football that's he's so passionately expressed in each of his pressers and forewarned us bored fans.

Hopefully I'm 10000% wrong...but Balance Sheet has said otherwise since the bald midget has been at the helm.

BALANCE SHEET FC

Strikes again

Only person that I want out of my club is that bald prick of a man

You've got some saying it's a decent window despite not plugging all the gaps and selling Kane. It's like they've just wiped that memory completely.

Try and enjoy some nice football for as long as Ange is here. That's pretty much the ceiling this club has under this regime, and plenty of fans seem fine with that.

It is absolutely fucking diabolical that we sold one of the top 3 players in our history (IMO), our world class striker, and are left with Richarlison up front for the season.

If there was one thing I was confident about with Levy, despite his many failings on the football side, it was that if and when we ever lost Kane, he'd make a statement signing or two.

Turns out I'm the mug. Maddison is the creative mid we've needed since Eriksen left, so that's long overdue. VDV is the centre back we've needed since Jan left, so that's overdue too. And a new keeper was an absolute minimum given Lloris' age and form last season.

So those three are good signings, but they have all been positions that needed filling for several seasons now (IMO yes including Lloris, who's been amazing as a whole but been on the slide for a while).

The rest of our incomings are potential. Maybe they'll be good, maybe they won't.

Basically we're always playing catch up under Levy. Maybe in 2028 we'll finally sign a top centre forward to replace Kane.

If we weren't actually going to splash out with the Kane money then we should have just fucking kept him. And if Levy is counting Maddison/VDV as the Kane money, then he's treating us all like mugs, because those signings were needed regardless.

I don't believe for a second that if we kept Kane we wouldn't have had enough money to buy Maddison and VDV.

And we sold TWO players this summer. One of whom should have been sold about four years ago, and one of whom is *checks notes* Harry Kane.

We didn't manage to shift the deadwood, but we did manage to shift the greatest goalscorer in the club's history. Great fucking job.

Anyone that thinks it’s a decent window is either deluded, stupid or completely conditioned to think that way.

Both striker and central defensive areas have been left short, not to mention the lack of outgoings.

A couple of injuries and we are going to really struggle.

Neglegance IMVHO.
