Respectfully the cup exit showed our squad depth isn’t good enough still.
I’m not sure many teams could put out an almost complete second string against a near full strength Fulham team and get a result.

im not saying we have good enough strength in depth but I think that result has made people exaggerate how lacking we might be.

Any one of those players who played v fulham could probdbly slip into our first team and although not be at the same level, they wouldnt horrendously prejudicial. (Sanchez proving that re Brentford for example, PEH when coming off the bench).

building a full squad is far harder than building a first xi and I think people have got carried away with how much is achievable in one window.

And all of this of course, is discussion without any understanding of what Ange is saying he wants/needs.

We did get a result. It was a draw.
We lost the penalty shootout.

But you can't turn it over all at once. Some of those players will still do a job in our best team, i.e. like Dav did but they do need moving on. Evolution rather than revolution
We’ve been needing to ‘turn it over’ for years. And we just sold Kane for £100mil.

CB, CM & Johnson today and significant outs and we will be on the right track finally. 🤞

I thought Fulham rested half of their first team as well. 5 changes wasn't it?

I’m sure many also happily look back on England’s heroic draws in the semi finals of Italia 90, euro 96….

I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic or not but many do look happily back on England’s heroic draws in those matches… certainly they’re seen among the high points of being an England follower.

We lost. That’s the key takeaway. The fact we drew over 90 minutes is irrelevant to me. We went out.

But you’re never getting 60,000 people to do that. You’d struggle to get 10,000 I reckon for all sorts of reasons not least finding pubs capable of taking in 60,0000 extra punters.

And with the economics of the stadium these small protests don’t touch the sides.

it may sound defeatist, but unfortunately it’s the reality.

Levy will stay until someone gives him the money he wants to not be here anymore.

(saving £3 also depends what you drink. Cheapest lager in the Bell is now £8)
Yeah I know that. But it’s not just the beverages and food. If you stop buying the kit Nike will kick up a fuss. My point is therefore that the fan base as whole do not want Levy out. I will not give up my sEason ticket as it has
taken me years to get. But I will make my stand. Be it only my £20 per match and one shirt a season. If a large majority did the same he would feel it. (pint of Lamar in the crown and anchor £3.40 and The Gilpins Bell £4.25)

I disagree that the fanbase as a whole don’t want him out. I’ve never met or spoken to anyone who doesn’t.

I just don’t think people want to take steps which would make their experience worse when it’s unlikely those steps will have any impact anyway. That’s certainly my position.

I actually can’t think of many examples in English football where an owner has sold up because of protests rather than because he has been bought out at a fair valuation.

I'd disagree that the fanbase do want him out. I've never spoken to anyone who does. I suppose we all live in different circles.

I disagree with a lot of what he does but also he has done a lot of good for the club. I'd prefer him to the owners at Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool and probably most others. I don't want to be bank rolled or sold to some petrol state or some US fund.

His decisions on managers has been his mistake not his purse strings.

And I’m very grateful I’ve never met such a person. Can’t believe how any fan can endorse the way he treats fans (sorry, customers).

The fact you think he is any different to the Liverpool owners is just wild tbf

I ended up in the stadium, there was literally nowhere to drink pre utd game.

The bell is a rip off, imo.

They've had years to turn it over though. People treat each window as an isolated incident rather than a pattern of behaviour of nearly a quarter of a century.
