NZOGBIA ?????????????
Are you guys on CRACK ???????

No. I believe N'Zogbia could easily be playing for a top-5 club by now, and probably should have when he moved from Newcastle. But full credit to him moving to a club where he felt he would get the most first team action. I know there was a lot of interest from other clubs who would have probably payed him double, that were turned down because he wanted to be playing regularly.

He deserves a move to a club like us who can offer him first-team football. I'd take him for about £10m in a heartbeat. Don't know what Wigan would be asking though.

This is the most boring transfer window ever. Not one player we are being linked with excites me in the slightest. Can the ITKs at least make something exciting up so we can have something to look forward to when we log on every morning.

N'Zogbia has been playing wide right, and has been a million times more effective playing from there. Wigan fans say he's been useless playing left wing.

If you think we're suffering transfer withdrawal, what must Redknapp be going through. He must be twitching like Chief Inspector Dreyfus after a meeting with Clouseau. This must be the longest he's ever gone without doing a deal.

N'Zobgia is a quality player, but simply not needed.

Ireland would be a good signing, but I can't help but think Hleb would be a much shrewder one. Should be a lot cheaper and Barca should be a lot easier to deal with on that one too. Granted he's several years older, but we need the experience, especially in the Champions League (while we also have promising youngsters who could break through in a couple of years).

We're still being linked to players in every position except the only position that genuinely needs strengthening.

*Yes I know, lots of games, need a big squad, must have 12 right backs yada yada yada.

I like Hleb but he wouldn't bring goals to the table. Ireland would do that in spades.

He did scores goals in spades that one season (08-09) where he got 13. Every other season he's been a 3-4 a season man. It was a great season he had and you can argue he was in and out of the team last year, but I really haven't seen anything to suggest he would be particularly successful for us, particularly with the way we currently play. I wouldn't be upset at his signing but on balance i'd prefer Hleb for the reported figures of £3-4m. He would only get 3 or 4 goals a season himself but would be another intelligent, calm player to help us see out games, much in the same way Eidur did last year. He'd also probably rack up a fair few assists.

The 25-man limit on squads is not biting on us at the moment - currently on 24 and that includes Woodgate (crocked) and Naughton (presumably set for another loan). So we effectively have 3 spare slots.

By my count we have 25 including those two. If we bring in another keeper and loan Naughton then we're back at 25....

Pantone wise he's not far off as dark as the likes of our lighter mixed race guys like Jenas and the Kyles, who are sometimes classed as black.

He's ethnically Turkish though a German citizen I thought?

Fuck me that's the first (and hopefully last) time i've heard someone check a pantone chart in relation to the colour of footballers skin...Eek

Obviously some yes. Nzogbia is a good player, but would add nothing to our squad.

I would play Ireland in the exact position Ozil plays for Germany in a 4-2-3-1.

Ireland suffered from the minute Tevez joined City as they look to work the same area of the field, in my opinion.

He needs a fresh start and regular game time. Last season was blighted by injury and the fact that Mancini treated him like crap, in a team that usually lacked balance. And if you're going to play him on the right side of midfield in a 4-4-2, as Mancini did at times, you might as well forget about it.

He makes brilliant runs beyond the strikers and can split a defence in his sleep. His incisive passing in the final third really gives me the horn, and he shows great composure in front of goal.

Granted, I think he's a little bit crazy in the coconut but I think he'd be a superstar for us. With Bellamy, Lennon and Ireland in a three man unit behind a lone striker, we'd be lethal on the break, with Modric playing a slightly deeper role to knit the whole thing together.
