Suarez is gone?

No, but heas ruled himself out of wanting a move unless Ajax have no option but to sign him for financial reasons.

His wife has just had a baby and wants to stay in Amsterdam. He'd also be turning his back on CL football to come to us.

What exactly is your opinion?

Oh completely, it's definitely a discussion board. But when one poster (me) generally counters another poster's opinion (yours) with a post and then gets no response except a "well I'm allowed an opinion", that's usually a tacit admission that the other poster (you) doesn't have much to back up the original opinion in the first place. And then it tends to be a bit silly to carry on asserting said opinion (as you have done today), when it's already been shown to be erroneous at a pretty basic level.

I have in previosus posts explained why I think as I do, I have explained that I feel that finishing top 4 is/was an oppertuntiy to kick on, that not to is standing still and that other teams around us ...In my opinion not fact, have demonstrated players are available and have in my opinion becpme better all round teams........what else do you want me to say...every time I have expressed said opinion, it has been done in a non personalised way and without slagging ITK as some appear to do.

I like others want the best for spurs and am just expressing how i feel that could and should have been done....Its an opinion and I'm being a lot less forceful in expressing that than you are Stoof

There were two ways to improve our strikeforce.

1. Get in a striker that is just better than JD, PC, RK, and RP.

2. Get in someone who works better with the other 3/gives us more options.

I think we can give up hope of #1, but I bet Harry is thinking about how to accomplish #2.

Suarez is gone?
Sorry, my mistake - imo Ajax aren't going to let him go on the final day of the window. Especially as he seems in no rush this yr to go and has the CL to play in this season with them. He has a good CL and never mind us being interested, Milan or Real will take a punt.

I agree that Raul is proven at the top level...but is he anymore? Would he have the pace to be a top striker in EPL? I dont know.

Are you sure Levy and Arry havent asked?

Just making a discussion. No malice:)

non taken.....

Is Raul any slower than keane?...possibly but makes up for that in other areas in my opinion and maybe they did ask but neither ended up here...for whatever reason.

I personally think the thought of signing Fabiano was greater than what he would bring to the team. I'm not saying I was against the signing, far from it, but for the sums of money quoted along with invariably huge wages (certainly for our rigid structure) then we have to accept that it wasn't in our best interests and that we took the sensible decision to move on.

I find it laughable whenever I hear that Daniel Levy is blocking our progress with his business ethos - this man has pushed this club further than most could contemplate when he/ENIC took over from Sugar. Look at where we were, where we are and most importantly where we are going - stadium included. To knock him just 'cause we didn't just pay full price straight away as some suggest is ridiculous and I for one am glad he's running this club and business (and don't think the two are mutually exclusive) and not some of you lot!

All in all, if this window closed now, I do believe we are stronger now than last year (our glorious 4th place season I might add) so why the long face gentleman?! We've got alot to look forward to this season and beyond so forget Fabiano, Suarez et al and concentrate on what we actually have - a damn good team!

Did I miss something last wednesday, I thought we had qualified for CL.

Would there be such a negative air on here about the possibility of no more new arrivals if we had beaten Wigan?
I doubt it personally, there are a handful of players out there who can have as big an influence on a team as some think Fabiano, Suarez, Dzeko etc would have on us.
None of those players in the side would have stopped us losing on Saturday,Gomez may have though

i would be happy if we brought back gudjohnsen? I think that could well be in the back of harry's mind for tomorrow if other things don't work out. it may be that harry simply wasn't lying and is happy with what we have got?

If we get into Raziak style panic buying then who do you think it would be? Kevin Davies? John Carew? Carlton Cole? Bobby Zamora? Kevin Nugent? Alfonso Alves?
