Getting desperate now. Our Daniel is DESPERATE to get rid of the players we know about, to free up space. And there is money btw. Anyway, enough has been said on that already. Sad thing is everyone is wanting loans of those players, with no obligation to buy. I am hearing he will swallow a bitter pill and allow, if the interested parties firm up, and cover the wages.

Championship we know about. All up in the air though. We are desperate to freshen things up with a couple. Knowing us, and recent attempts, let’s see. One ambitious (very) initial loan, with options in our favour, from La Liga, is just that at present.
What's more expensive in the long-run....Not signing players we want because we don't have space in the squad or just dumping players because they are not fit for purpose? It's absolute insanity that we have been sat on this for two years now.

Assuming Herc's La Liga comment is in regards to Isco (he's mentioned him previously), why exactly would Madrid loan him out? Is he not playing?
He's a bench player at most. Recently both Asensio and Bale have been injured so you would expect him to get game time but Solari has preferred Vinicious and Vazquez. Also Ceballos has taken his spot in CM when Kroos or Modric don't play. Solari plays a 433 and Isco would ether be in the middle three or LWF. This all came from some falling out a few months back. Solari would be pretty happy if he left. Also Asensio and Bale have just returned to full training (Bale coming on as a sub tonight and scoring) that Isco will be even further down the pecking order. It's safe to say Iscos time at RM is probably up.

It's also worth noting that Solari is very much liked at RM and is starting to get some very good performances out of his team, they won 4-2 tonight even tho they had a red card so I don't see Iscos situation changing end of season. Solari doing well is also why I don't think they will chase Poch end of season but that's not for here and there is still many games to be played.

I don't get it. If we have money, WHY do we have to sell players to free up squad places? I mean, why can't we simply leave Vorm out of the squad?

It baffles me how such a minor detail could stop us from signing a player we actually need.

Even if we don't sign anybody the best thing we can do is get rid of as many players as possible now to put us in a position of strength for the summer where we don't need to sell before we can buy.

He's on the bench a lot and he had a run in with the fans before Christmas - they booed/whistled when he got the ball and apparently he made a gesture back to them.

Agree with this. Especially as vorm
Has what 5 months left on his contract?... why can he not just be released? Or left out as you say. It’s just an easy excuse to use it feels.

Username doesn’t match up then. The window isn’t shut yet.

The voice of reason is someone who uses logic and evidence, I’d say their username matches perfectly.
Evidence points to zero signings and using the same tired excuses of having to shift players before can sign is so transparent. If anything the players we need to shift is so we have any money. Won’t afford much though with the dross we’re trying to sell.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Shame that Stoke and Hull aren't in the top flight anymore. They were always good for a 15 million bid.

Daniel not cutting his losses with the deadwood has always seemed his greatest mistake these past few years. He must have thought that since the prices went up, he could demand more than they are worth. A gamble that didn't pay off.
