Think he only has one year left, so can't be a loan unfortunately. I'm not his biggest fan, 26 years old and no one big has ever come in for him and he doesn't start matches!

Why can't it be a loan?

I'd be happy with him on loan, not so happy with a 4-5 year contract.

Our business has been very good this transfer window. I would have liked that marquee center back or creative mid signing but then I would also like lots of things I can’t have. One thing not to be discounted is the destabilizing effect too many incomings can have so there is a balance to be struck.

If this really is were we at, which it seems we are, then i really hope its a loan. I'm still not a fan of his tho. Feel's like a desperation signing to me. But will of course support him if he comes.

With only a year left, Wolves would be losing him on a free if they loaned him now. Same reason Atalanta were unwilling to loan Malinovskyi.

I suppose it’s possible but only if Wolves rate him so lowly that they’d rather have his wages off the books than whatever contributions he’d give them this season. Lage has been playing him (even with his future in doubt) so I’d be a bit surprised if that were the case.

thanks. true to form i fuck up a slam dunk of a joke. would still love it if we pull a rabbit out of the hat on deadline day but i guess it depends on how concrete we are that the business we want to get done can still get done in january. things change obv.

For sure bud, i get that. I can see the logic behind the guess tho in that he's probably cheap, based in the UK and Paratici is a known fan. Considering the time left in the window it makes sense as the likeliest outcome as i just don't see any quality player being allowed to leave at this point in the window, not unless we overpay or front load a deal which will never happen. Still, personally i'd find it an underwhelming move and a little desperate.

Got to wonder how much the lack of finance throughout the European leagues impacts what we are trying to do. Largely only loans out to date.

I'm happy with our window, Yes we didn't get the main CB target but that will have to wait. The squad has been strengthened in other areas and overall has more depth and balance than we have had in a while.

Still expect Gil's replacement to come in most likely Traore atm.

Hmm that doesn’t sound good at all

If the club are going back on promises or not willing to invest the money we need to then Conte will not be happy and we will start to hear about it.

Other reports and ITK seemed to have suggested Conte was happy with the business we did early and quickly and that with that £150mil draw down the club is putting the money where it’s mouth is so bit concerning if something has now changed right at the end of what has been a very very good window by all accounts in terms of both ins and outs cleaning up and improving the squad.
