RVN is proven in the prem. Mil1lion's point is the likes of Fabiano, who have never kicked a football in the EPL at the age of 29 may need time to settle and that is something we cannot take a risk at. These are the best years of fabiano's career is we spend surplus of £10 mill on him, we dont want those years to be spent settling into the league.

Thats mil1lions point.

That's my point too - but somehow I failed to make it clear.

My CRB check stated that i was 20 years younger than you

That's why you must never speak of that night we had together. Especially not to your mum. She'll ground you.

Re: The ITK - Do we really need Turan? All window we've been begging for a proper, strong, quick CF. All 4 of our strikers are good, but none are the right type to 'lead the line'. If we don't sign a player of that type then I'd be disappointed even if we added Messi to our midfield.

We don't need MUCH to make our good team into a great one - but we do need that CF.

I'd be happy with Remy based on my massively limited knowledge of him.

Remy, i'm with you, have no idea on him... why are the really big hitters not after him though? Stoke and Sham thought they'd both have a chance... what does that say?

Your Mum was there that night...

Messi isn't really a midfielder is he.

I'm sure we'll still be in for a striker even if we got Turan - strangely as I've been one of the people knocking DA for his ridiculous comments (i.e. Harry scouting players from motd) I'd probably prefer Turan to Young. I know why Harry wants Young and he's a very good Premiership player- and Turan would have to hit the ground flying to be as useful this season to us as Young would likely be, but who doesn't like a foreign glamour signing, the star of his nation and an experienced international...

I reckon it will be capel, fabiano, and gallas

I reckon two out of those 3 sounds very likely right now.

Guardian reporting Milner to City, with Ireland going the other way. Wonder what effect this will have, if any, on our efforts for Young, Bellamy, et al.

Feck all given that this has been on the cards for 3 months now.

Young is not coming to spurs..he loves it at Villa
And you know this how... oh wait sorry i've seen it's you Keano

Suarez will be cup tied either way, but fuck it. He can still play in the league.

I thought that once Ajax were knocked out he would no longer be tied as they'd fall down to Europa?

The bit in bold. They didn't really. Who knows why Remy entertained the notion? Could well have been pressure from his agent, may have been the 'stepping stone' approach, etc...

That wasn't my Mum. That was your Dad in drag.

I think Stoke felt they had a chance. They flew the lad over, showed him around the ground etc, Pulis even offered him and his family free baseball caps as an incentive.

Remy in all honesty, I'd never heard of prior to all the talk of him... I thought I had but I'd mistaken him for a type of alcohol.

When was the last time you got laid?!

Me neither, but a search of the French news reveals a pretty high profile there. He seems to be regarded as a player with some promise at least.

You know that night your dad was away 'on business'?

Sorry if it's been posted, but if Fabiano is on the bench for Sevilla for the two legs and doesn't play, does that make him cup-tied for us?

I think he is only cup tied if he plays, but the fact they have him on the bench would suggest they are ready to use him if need be and should they do that his resale vaule would plummet which makes me wonder if they intend to sell

I suppose both them and Ajax with Suarez may be prepared to sell but are more concerned with making the group stages and the money that brings than the money they can command to sell the respective players and wheter or not someone will still wish to sign them.

saying the same stuff stuff mate. fabinano is just one of the many 29 year old stikers in europe that we could get. You said we wouldn't sign any 29yr old becasue of x and y. Eto for example, is it a risk to bring him into a new league?
Woah hang on, I didn't say we weren't going to try and sign him at all. I actually said we might be one of few options for him. I said the elite teams haven't been linked with him and I would've thought if the top clubs wanted him, they would have signed him by now.

I was actually saying that the top clubs don't need to risk signing a player like Fabiano. Whereas we need to take that sort of risk if we're going to sign a quality player who is already developed.

You said you doubt we're his only option, but what are you basing that on? The only club to make a move for him so far is Marseille and they're way off Sevillas valuation. It's well into the window now so I don't see where the other bidders are coming from.

I think it's actually the lack of interest, certainly from the top clubs, as to why he hasn't moved yet. I imagine he's been waiting for the top clubs to make their move before he decides whether to join a club like Spurs. A bit like how Huntelaar waited until the last moment before his move to Milan.

Panic stations, were doomed!

We all want (including Levy and Harry) to buy players that will improve us and push on to the next level. If they're not available for whatever reason we get on with what we've got. Which for all the shouting and screaming, is a f**king good squad who work hard and play for each other.

looking like we could use an experienced cb (gallas) and a finisher (anyone but defoe atm) BEFORE playing young boys
