Forget Gallas, we need competition for Dawson in the long term. He's a quality player, but we could do with someone in their peak who could challenge for a first team place.

Bassong is still young aswell and needs more time to develop. Gallas would solve this short term, so wouldn't be a terrible move (even though I really don't like him
).

But if we can get someone for the long term then I would favour that to Gallas.

Except I really doubt Levy will justify spending all the CL money on a striker who can't play in it. It just doesn't make good business sense.

Did anything more come of that Falcao rumour? He's pretty decent at holding the ball up, which we really could have done with tonight.

Interesting about Capel, I really rate him

Seville are stacked with left sided players and Capel is still very young

I was thinking exactly that.

I don't think we'll get Parker though, unless he throws a massive strop and demands to be sold.

If Gallas can perform for us I'll be more than happy to welcome him to the team.

Agree mate, we need both of these players. Sooner the better.

Todays game showed that we needed someone who has quality on the ball and drive the team on - Huddlestone.

Parker would've been as bad as Wilson.

We lack Champions League experienced players. I'm a bit surprised we haven't signed Gudjohnsen for that very reason. We also lack leadership in big games without King. We saw nothing from Dawson in that department tonight. I'm sure Gallas and Parker have those qualities. I don't really want Gallas in a Spurs shirt, but there's no doubting he has been there and done it. It certainly wouldn't be the worst signing of the summer.

That he now can't play for another side in Europe until Januray even if Ajax get knocked out or not.
