Play Livermore and we lose. Have we won a game this season when he has started?

His only use is as an 85th minute sub and that is only because when he comes on as a sub we seem to score.

If Parker is tired after tonight then i would play Tom Carroll. He is a promising player who deserves some game time and will use the ball intelligently.

Naughton--Dawson--Vertonghen---BAE
Lennon----Dembele---Carroll----Siggy/Holtby
------------------Bale----------------------------
------------------Ade----------------------------

Subs: Friedel, Walker, Caulker, Dempsey, Siggy/Holtby, Hudd, Defoe

Nothing wrong with the performance on Sunday when Livermore played in the side. I like Carroll, he has a big future ahead of him I think, but I'm not sure AVB would start him in a League game yet.

Fulham aren't the most physical of teams, so i'd give Carroll a start (not that it will happen).

Lloris
Walker Dawson Vertonghen BAE
Dembele Carroll
Lennon Sigurdsson Bale
Adebayor

Seriously though, AVB will have to have a think about this. Could have some tired legs after extra time and think we will see some changes.

I'd go with:

Lloris
Someone Dawson Vertonghen Ekotto
Livermore Dembele
Lennon Bale Holtby
Adebayor
Subs: Friedel, Caulker, Naughton, Parker, Sigurdsson, Dempsey, Carroll
- Lloris, no brainer.
- Honestly don't know who to play at RB. Neither making an outstanding case, guess it will be Walker.
- I'd pick Vertonghen but he has had a good run of games and wouldn't be surprised to see Caulker.
- I'd rest one of the two centre mids. Chose Parker because hopefully Dembele next to Livermore may be a bit better balance. Livermore can just sit and give the ball simply to Dembele to drive forward.
- Lennon and Bale have to start.
- Holtby by default, freshens up the team as Sigurdsson put in quite a good shift tonight and may be fatigued.
- I think Ade should start but he looked completely knackered, so I'm fearing Defoe.

On the basis that all are players are nackered I suggest we play this XI. Only 3 completed the full 90+ET against Inter so we will have a fresh XI that's still strong.

Lloris
Walker Dawson Caulker Ekotto
Huddlestone Dembele
Lennon Bale Dempsey
Defoe
Subs: Friedel, Vertonghen, Livermore, Parker, Holtby, Sigurddsson, Adebayor
Given Huddlestone a start because he's fresh. I don't think Parker will be able to walk for the next week let alone last 90 minutes in a football game

The term "striker" is just a label. We need goal scorers up front, not strikers. Defoe and Ade are not worth having on the pitch at the moment. Solid core with passing and drive, Lennon gives width to the side when we need it. Set up like this Parker can go back to shielding the back four which is what he's awesome at. Bale can drift and leave room for plenty for runs from midfield which are a nightmare for defenders to pick up.

I don't think the lads can train before the Fulham game. Maybe just a bit of limbering up on Saturday.

We've conceded 7 goals in 2 games, at the moment as long as Lloris and Bale are playing I couldn't care less which other 9 ****s are playing. Apart from the following:

Friedel
Naughton
Gallas
Livermore
Holtby
Defoe
Defoe
Defoe
JD
Jermain
Jermain Defoe
Defoe
Pavlyuchenko
Huddlestone
