I'm still an advocate for youth and picking players that fit into the roles rather than just going for most experienced players no matter if they are the types needed in the team. If Lennon is out, i'd prefer Kenneth McEvoy to replace him. Width winger that bring a lot of the same as Lennon to the team, able to stretch opponent team. Rather than play with four central midfielders and hope Bale can do everything on his own.​

I'm curious; did Lennon injure himself when he came on as a sub vs Inter or is AVB just not taking any chances with him? He played 60 minutes, so I'm surprised he's out for this game..

If there is one game Dempsey is going to be up for though it's this one, and even though I'd rather see Lennon out there I hope Dempsey can do a job for us. Also, even though Naughton didn't have the best of games vs Inter I think he should be starting instead of Walker in this game. Granted, we have an international break coming up, but I still feel Walker could do with a bit of rest and reflection upon his last couple of appearances for us.

*I reckon Bale will play a more central role, and I guess the four "forwards" will change positions quite a lot. Dempsey in the starting XI assuming Lennon is out as several posters on here have said.

I wouldn't mind seeing Holtby in this game, but I do feel he's wasted playing on the wings. I would argue he could do a job in central midfield in a sort of Modric-role playing alongside Parker, but I doubt we'll be seeing that any time soon. Sigurdsson deserves his place in the starting eleven going on his recent performances, but I hope to see Holtby involved and preferably for more than just 10 minutes.

I hope we wipe the floor with Fulham. Nothing against them but we really need to make a statement after the horrible game in Milan.

Controversial, but I'd like to see Walker on the right wing with Naughton at right back.
Walker has the speed and we wouldn't suffer his defensive errors.
Look what the transition did for a certain young left back a few years ago.
