if steve kean has any idea of tactics he'll have blackburn sitting deep with 9 behind the ball and just lump it upto yak at every opportunity.

Good news is I'm missing this match as I'm away first home match this season I'm missing. It's good news as nearly all the matches I miss we win easily so I think a 3-0 or 4-1 is on the cards.

I think that will count for more than team selection as basically whatever team we put out within reason will beat Blackburn as I am missing the game!

I'm really worried Yakubu will just bully our defence like Holt did. The 1st goal is actually so so important in this match.

I think Kaboul will be back (Twitter on Friday saying likely to be back in training this week) - prefer him with Gallas or King to add some speed and steel to the CB pairing, even if we play Parler and Sandro in the middle.

Prefer 4231 so would suggest :
Freidel
Walker, Kaboul, Gallas, Assou Ekotto
Parker, Sandro
Lennon, VDV, Bale
Adebayor

Subs : Cudicini, Smith, King, Nelsen, Livermore, Modric, Defoe (If Saha is fit, he replaces Nelsen in the subs)

Need to win hence the attack minded front 4. Bring on Modric for Sandro if that doesn't work.

Kaboul back would make a HUGE difference to us as a defensive unit.

Indeed, even if he doesn't make this game, it will be a relief to see him just back generally, hopefully for the last 3 games.

Was about to agree with the post because of the team, but then saw the last line. Come on let's have some positivity we're not out of it yet, this is football, everything can change in a second. The ball may just take a bobble in the 6 yard box from a back-pass to Robbo and go into Blackburn's goal, giving our players that boost and go on to win it 5-0, COYS!!! Nothing is impossible.

Have you watched the last 9 games? Blackburn could give us a 2-0 head start and we'd still throw it away the way we are playing.

I'll be surprised if we get 3 points total out of the last 4 matches, let alone from this match.

I thought Kaboul was likely to miss the rest of the season...that's a huge boost if true.

Bar the 2nd half of Chelsea and the Norwich game we've hardly been disastrous.

Similar 11 to most but a slight change in formation, 4141. One of Sandro, Parker or Livermore to sit in front of the back four and stay there, sweeping in front of the defence. Bale and Lennon out wide to provide width and try to stretch the Blackburn defence. Modric and VdV in the centre and Adebayor up front. With this formation we have width, they must stay out wide though, protection for the back four which is their only job and VdV and Modric both get to play centrally.

Friedel
Walker. Gallas. King. BAE
Sandro
Lennon. VdV. Modric. Bale
Adebayor

Redknapp won't drop Modric. The team is likely to be the same team that played in the 2nd half against QPR but with Adebayor if fit in for Defoe.

That's the team for me. Dreading Sunday but quite heartened that we are still favourites with the bookies to clinch 4th.

4-4-2 lets open ourselves right up.

2 strikers up top, two wingers swinging crosses in. The perfect modern attacking lineup
