Simple fact of the matter is - we HAVE to beat Inter, and by a couple of goals.
We can lose to Arsenal and still finish in the top 4.

Strongest, fittest available 11 for Wednesday for me.
If we get a few goals up, revert to a slower pace, take a few off. No one should be rested, we can't afford anything but the strongest we have.

Still cannot believe we lost to this lot last time out. Even a draw at the San Siro and a win Wednesday and we would have been through.?

Inter are an average side that have been going through some annoying bouts of luck since the start of this season especially in the CL. We should've never lost or even drawn against them, their GK blatantly handled the box outside of the area against PSV but somehow wasn't sent off, they played Barca both times in the brief spell Messi was out injured and were comprehensively outplayed yet managed to rescue a last minute point at the San Siro. In the league they played what looked a dead on nil-nil in their derby against Milan but again managed to scrape away a win right at the end. Went to Atalanta and were completely disemboweled but only lost 4-1 (yes, I'm including that as good fortune as it should've been 6 or 7), etc.

It's not like they're a team capable of outplaying us or are even that good defensively, but they are the ultimate smash and grab team so we better not understimate them if we look like we're cruising at some stage of the game. We've been quite naive against italian teams before.

They're epitomizing the Italian philosophy of keeping the goals/chances low at the back, and taking your chance(s) when you get it/them. It's what they did this season to us, it's what Juventus did to us home and away despite being comprehensively outplayed, they scored more than we did.

Same intensity and discipline as we've just seen v Chelsea and we'll batter the living fuck out of this lot. They can't possibly get that lucky twice.

If we repeat those first 20 minutes against pretty much anyone, the game will be over before they string 3 passes together.

Jan for Foyth, that's it... Get it done early and then sub off Eriksen, Dele & Kane in the second half.

Yes they are but Inter aren't an elite team with elite players like Juventus. Ultimately if we don't win this game it'll be down to our own failings.

I don't think we can ask the players to do 3 hard matches in 9 days. Since even beating Inter comprehensively still only gives us an outside chance of getting into the next round, I'd prefer to save our ammo to really blast the Gooners into smithereens.

We surely have to be up there with the strongest options for the forward 4 positions in europe? I dont see how I can leave any of the front 4 mentioned out nor Son and Moura is rested and I can't give him a sniff, Incredible really. Also Sissoko fair play to him, I'm having to force Dier out just to play him although I'd like him rested for Arsenal which again is credit to him.

Trust Poch to pick the right team for this one. He has already called this a cup final. I expect the best rested and inform players will make up the first eleven.

Interesting no one is going for KWP.

I would like to see him play at some point.
