I guess many will pick the same side against Chelsea, not for me. Need to use the squad with the NLD to think about as well.

The three who started behind kane last night is our best blend imo and will start the NLD, despite Lamela playing really well this season.

I'd also keep Sissoko fresh for the NLD, he's our engine now. So Winks can come in here.

Start Vertonghen, and use Lamela and Lucas. We've great options, so let's use them given its such a hectic week.

Lloris

Aurier
Alderweireld
Vertonghen
Davies

Dier
Winks

Lucas
Lamela
Eriksen

Kane

Subs: Gazza, KWP, Sissoko, Skipp, Dele, Son, Llorente

Really tough this one, I think we're now at a point where I'd be happy with almost any team selected. As much as he'll be gutted, Son out as he ran his heart out yesterday. I'd also think that one of Eriksen or Dele should come out, coming off for the other at some point to keep a continuity of minutes without running either into the ground so soon after injury.

I'd go with:

Lloris
Aurier Alderweireld Vertonghen Davies
Dier
Winks Sissoko
Lucas __________________ Dele
Kane

Gazzaniga Walker-Peters Wanyama Erksen Lamela Son Llorente

It’s just who drops out between Son dele eriksen for lucas and lamela. Remember Arsenal have to travel 4.5k miles on a Thursday so even though they will rest a few not ideal for them.

I like that although I'd be tempted to keep playing Sissoko.

Bring in Lamela, Winks and Lucas and rest up Eriksen, Dele and (can’t believe I’m now saying it) Sissoko for NLD. The below should be enough to beat Inter if we perform with same intensity as yesterday.

Lloris
Aurier Alderweireld Vertonghen Davies
Winks Dier
Lucas Lamela Son
Kane

Gazzaniga, KWP, Wanyama, Sissoko, Eriksen, Dele, Llorente

My reasoning for keeping Son for NLD was his pace mate. Easily could go with your team though, just think Eriksen can cope with starting all three having that breather on the bench for a few games before International break.

I know he had injury issues but think Poch managed him cleverly with this week in mind.

Not sure how far I want us to go in the champions league/ europa league. I had a look at the December schedule. 7 games over 27 days.

We are in no position to rest anyone, play our best 11 - id go for pace as i dont think they can handle pace much having said that I do see Lamela and Lucas starting for Son and perhaps Dele (although I think Dele should play).

You don't understand the physical demands that are being placed on our team this season. We have good players ready to come in like Winks, Lamela, Lucas and Verts. We have to use the squad to keep people fresh otherwise we'll not last the season.

I appreciate that but why would we need to rest Eriksen who has been out injured for a while and now back up and running? Same for Dele and even Son (he didnt play during intl break did he?)

If you think about it - our players have been out injured at various points which perhaps gives us an advantage because theyre still relatively fresh

Also focusing on this game - I want us to go to Barca with a chance. Id rather win the Inter game in say the first hour then sub the players off than take the risk and having to win it in half an hour.

I'd say we start the same team as yesterday, but then again we need some fresh legs facing Arsenal on Sunday.

Because it's a very long season with 4 competitions, we also have some injuries to contend with still. More importantly by using the full squad at his disposal Poch keeps everybody fresh and match ready.

We don't want to reach March/April and as inevitable injuries to key players arrive and we have players who are fresh/fit but not match ready.
I'm an advocate of rotating players and would like to see us rest Kane more where possible or where we have healthy leads in a game.

But can they do that all over the pitch? They still have some injuries and surely they registered x amount, and so a few might have to play, or at least travel?
