winning to go top of the league would be just perfect against the goons even if it is just for a few hours until leicester play

I am already a nervous wreck just thinking about the game and we still have 48 hours until kick off

Wouldn't get your hopes up on Dembele being fit for this one just yet. I reckon he's gonna miss out.

Poch has a presser at 2pm, hopefully get another update then, fingers crossed anyway.

I'm hoping that Dembele is a cert and has been since last week but Poch decided to rule him out of these fixtures just gone so he's 100% ready.

Perhaps Poch was a little vague and left some doubt to keep Arsenal guessing on that front.

It's possible

Just watched the scum game. They had plenty of opportunities and played well first half and Campbell was their best player, yet wenger subbed him in the second half for some unknown reason.

The emirates is absolutely toxic at the moment and the players must dread playing there. They'll be away from the poison on saturday and can play without that extra weight around their necks and they still have weapons and are still dangerous if you switch off.

Tough, tough game. Could go either way imo. I think it will just come down to who's more clinical on the day as I expect chances to flow either end.

I put money on one of Cech and Koscielny playing.

Every year they say they have injuries only for them to show up. The next thing you know Wilshere and Cazorla will be in the XI.

Expect Koscielny to play. If Cech genuinely injured his hamstring he won't be playing, even if only a slight issue you just don'y play immediately after any kind of hamstring injury as the chances are you exacerbate it.

Wenger won't want him sidelined for weeks, so I doubt its mind games in all honesty - with Cech anyway.

Right, swiftly on to the next one:

Lloris

Walker
Toby
Wimmer
Rose

Dier
Dembele

Lamela
Alli
Eriksen

Kane

Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Davies, Carroll, Mason, Chadli, Son

I think the OP has it nailed. Chadli should not be starting but does well coming on at 60-70 minutes to make a difference. I really hope that Dembele is fit for this one and that Poch starts him. He hasn't been out long enough to warrant the need to work his way back in. Walker and Rose back in to terrorize their fullbacks.

It was his calf he injured and he already had a groin problem before. Koscielny has a calf problem as well, he's looked like he's been carrying an injury for weeks.

No chance either of them will play imo.

I know we disagree about this consistently but you quote a lot of stats in support of your arguments . To me the most important one about our midfield duo is to ask how many times we have lost in the league with both Dier and Dembele playing together ? Answer - the first game of the season last August is the only one and if I recall it was Bentaleb that cost us that loss and I haven't seen anything in the few matches he has played to put him in against Arsenal . Why fix something that isn't broken ? Dier had a rough time against West Ham but I still believe he would have played better with Dembele playing not Mason. If Dembele is out on Saturday I will be far less optimistic but would probably stick with Mason over Bentaleb.

Do we ignore the whole of last season completely then ?

Don't feel good about this one either

Arsenal do not lose 3 in a row do they?

I hope Pochettino follow that nice Mr Bilic and have some of his mafia friends kidnap our team family members as hostages so they they can perform like West Ham did.(watch the Taken series)

Assuming the training video is from today, it looks like Dembele IS training (about 1:30 in). Also fully involved in training games it seems (right at the end of video).

This is who we are now.

And Luke's a little star, bless 'im.

Little brave lad like that full of life and smiles and you get cry babies on here going into stratospheric meltdown mode when we lose the odd game.

That's not a bad call, old fella.

Actually, both of those are acceptable configurations.

We know Dier will definitely play this and Dortmund though and likely be rested for villa.
