Nah! go for the top figure 60K+ fill it from the bottom up and curtain off any empty sections at the top and the back it would then look like a full stadium however many are there and no further disruption required making it cheaper in the long run.
can't see why it wouldn't work.

But surely you'd want to 'manage the demand' for STs as talked about above. If we did 60K+ right off the bat the waiting list for ST's would fall apart.

1. Build 50-55K stadium without damaging ST demand too much
2. Use extra matchday revenues to develop awesome squad
3. Qualify for CL
4. Encounter obscene demand for tickets
5. Build extra 5-10K without damaging ST demand too much
6. Use extra matchday revenue and CL money to develop even more quality squad
7. Win CL, other domestic honours
8. Go to 2. and repeat until no room left at ground

Probably easier on paper than in practice....

Cant we groundshare with MK Dons? 32,000 all seater stadium. Conviently 30mins from my house and only an 45mins on a train for all you london boys.

As it's a lobbying company doing the presentation it makes me wonder if there are still a couple of options on the table and different companies are making bids for their plan. Or maybe one plan but several companies want it. Either way - I hope we hear very soon.

Sounds like a great idea, 10 minutes walk from my house,i dont really care as long as its not West Ham or south of the river.

three pages, that's too much for my lazy bone, but dunno if it's been mentioned - we might not have to ground share.

Working on the idea that a rotated pitch would likely mean a stadium the same wide as it is now long. If we demolish everything on Sir Bill Way that we own, behind the West stand, then a new West stand, and the begginings of extensions to the Park Lane & Paxton, could be built on that land without any disruption to games at all. At the close of whichever season it is, when the new stand is up, the current west end is torn down, the pitch rotated and the North and South then connected to the new building...

would be a massive, massive job, but doable. easily.

Or just save a lot of twatting about and build a brand-new stadium north of Paxton, on land on which we've already bought an option, if Jim Duggan's source is right.

I knew Jim Duggan (of TopSpurs) for a bit, through work, and the guy does know his stuff about what really goes on at the club. His info about us buying up the Wingate Trading Estate, which was also reported on in The Guardian, does seem the most plausable option for development. Ground sharing would cost the club millions in lost revenue so I really can't see that one happening, hopefully.

MK Dons is 22,000, it has the possibily to be extended to 32,000 but they won't do it untill they are at least in the championship imo.

Nah, I live in Newbury. My dad works in Marlow though.

I grew up in Newbs.. family and best mates still live there. Must be some "love Ledley King at all costs juice" in the tap water. . I obviously drank a bit more of it than you did.

We should groundshare with Leeds. Big ground, and it'd be nice for the friendly Yorkshire locals to see some proper footy again.
