The stadium’s anything but disappointing. What gets me though is the queue for a beer -every week it’s the same. Just pour pints in advance - it will get drunk.
Gave up in the goalline bar and tried going up to the next tier, made no difference. 30 minute queue for a drink even with rows of poured pints visible already. The staff are just too slow. Doesn't help when the guy in front was queuing for a programme!

The whole premise when opening the stadium was they had these fast pour system that meant you could get a drink in 5 seconds. They need far more "drink only" bars not trying to multi task with food.

Also after the match was a joke as everyone piled outside to drink in the sun and there was only 1 bar.

If Bissouma isn’t an upgrade we’ve got trouble

Hopefully he’ll be the player we hoped PEH was!

He’s done ok but ultimately isn’t as good as we hoped he’d be. Unlike when we signed Wanyama, who was fantastic
He is an upgrade and I love Bissouma think he is great but sometimes it isnt about just having 11 great players but that the sum of its parts is greater and there is a chance that Bissouma and Bentancur may not work together - PEH and Bentancur just works.

Acid test is next week

Next week is still very very early to gage where we/they are this season but definitely moving forward we’ll see how they gel together

They definitely need to up their game re serving beers. But also people maybe can be more flexible.
At the old Lane it was usually easy to get a beer pre game. I often chose to leave crowded pubs to get a beer in quicker at the stadium.
Now of course there are more people going, but are all the local pubs packed as well as the stadium?
If so, then there's little room for flexibility. I guess it's how far away from the stadium can you drink, without it being counter productive
Strangely enough only game at the new stadium I've been to was V Soton. I didn't have a problem getting a beer in the ground. Didn't have a half time beer as the queues make that counter productive. Prefer to use that time for the toilet and a walk to stretch my legs

WHAT ??!! ?

This was the first time Tottenham have played a home Premier League game at 3pm on Saturday in 973 days, since beating Burnley 5-0 in December 2019, and the first time they have begun a season in this kick-off slot for more than 20 years.

What's the betting it wasn't the same for the scum?

It was about 45 minutes after the doors were open and it was quite easy to get a drink around 251... from 2 O'clock onwards it was pandemonium. I think many fans went to the pubs early and piled into the stadium with an hour to go

Bissouma will not be better going forward imo but will be more comfortable on the ball when pressured.

PEH is better going fwd than our other mids but that’s why we need a creative mid!

I was a big fan of pochettinho and still are, what he bought to the club was brilliant, took jol up a level or two, which is what it’s all about, progression. The fact we have Conte now really is different world…also at a time when the financial stars might be ready to align…..these are good times people…..let’s enjoy the ride….wherever it leads….more games at 15.00 on a Saturday afternoon for a start….

I mean, it's true the pubs are busy as well. But Tottenham could be selling a lot more beer than they do if the tech worked and the staff were better trained. I know it's not easy, but as well as enhancing the fan experience, there's money sitting on the table there.

It seems like they have new staff behind the bars at every game. They’re so slow.

No. 8, next to the stadium, was rammed. I always like it there before a game, especially in the sun, but I swear they’ve whacked their prices up. You just tap your phone and don’t think about it but it was over £7 a pint.

Just noticed that we lost 4 out of our first 5 corresponding fixtures last season (all 5 if you count Forest as Burnley - not sure how that is worked out?). Including yesterday's result if we get 9/10 points in those 4 games which we lost, that's already a huge improvement on last season.

Of course there are always games like City home and away which we might not win this season, but it certainly gives us a healthy head start.

Bruce grove for me. I think all the pubs are packed to be honest.

I'm reading lots of PEH hate. I do not get it.

Just the slide-rule pass to Emerson alone for that 4th goal was enough to justify him being on the pitch late into the second half. Dude's a battler and 100 percent trusted by Conte. That's all you need to know.

Give my homie a break!

Spare of thought for Lloris.
The save of Aribo was world class IMO. Pace at which it was taken -not many saving this

Good save, but kind of routine really. You see academy keepers making similar saves in every training video we put out. Obviously have to be positioned well and be able to get down quickly, things which Lloris is quite good at, but most keepers in the league make that save from that angle too.
