Welcome to the Spurs Vs Southampton Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

I am here in the UK at the moment and am going to this game. Will be my first game at the new stadium. My last time at WHL was in 2008 just after Harry took over and we beat Liverpool 2 - 1. Really excited to be going and that it is sold out so should be a great day.

My digital pass finally updated yesterday and now has the ticket details for this game. Was getting nervous it wouldn't. Very excited for this.

Hope the crowd get behind the team, and stay behind the team
It's likely to be a hard slog against Saints, hope the usual moaners, groaners and amateur analysts can change to cheerers, clappers and chanters

Southampton not only nicked all three points at the THS but they also took two points off us at St Mary's where we had two perfectly good goals denied to us and Fraser Forster annoyed us so much that we went and signed him! This time I believe we will have way too much for them. The options at Conte's disposal say to me that we have everything needed to have a really good season and it will start right here with three points in a 4-0 win. COYS!

I think it will be similiar team which ended last season with perhaps Perisic for Sess and Lenglet/Davies for Sanchez.

Tried and tested team, Conte will stick to it for the first few games.

COYS - 7-3 to Spurs.

They outplayed us last year at home and completely outnumbered us in midfield, so it'll be interesting to see if they go with the same approach and if we've learned anything from it.

That goes for the whole season , just like the old stadium it gets a bit edgy in the stands at times when it’s not going well and there will always be times when it is not going well. Cant let that anxiety transfer to the pitch. Stay with the players and make what could a really intimidating stadium into a fortress.

They have one of the very worst squads and teams in the league.

Let’s hope we get up to speed quickly and get the 3pts and a couple of goals.

It's often the case we are outnumbered in midfield. I wonder how it will pan out this season

Sooo who's risking Perisic in their FPL sides? Massive upside, but could also get burned with a 1 point cameo off the bench.

Soton were excellent in the 3-2 defeat at our place last season but I’d expect us to have 5 different players in our starting lineup to that game, plus Romero in his stronger position of RCB. So while Soton were deserving winners that night, I expect us to be better all over the pitch than we were back in February.
