Sarr if picked will be encouraged to drive at that Utd midfield, as they look leggy, especially Casimiro

Have to win this. Anything less would be disappointing.

They have a terrible away record, they looked off last week, they're a basket case, first game for us at home, manager looking for his first win. Simply have to get it done.

I'll be watching on TV with the volume turned up for the first home game. I'm expecting it to be bouncing playing Ange's style of football!

On the train making my way up from Devon. Buzzing and looking forward to this evening: I reckon the atmosphere will be one of the best since the Woolwich game in May 2022. COYS

Emerson plays well and scores in the last game and then dropped? That seems very odd.

Find it extremely strange that the betting market has Man United as favourites.

Team, I have heard, will be:

Vicario
Porro Romero VDV Destiny
Sarr Bissouma Madders
Kulusevski Richy Son

The only potential change is Porro/Emerson. Apparently we've trained for both to start but the last session was with Porro.
Thanks mate. Surely it makes no sense to drop emerson against uniteds attack jesys

Without wanting to be too negative. I don’t see it as a free hit. If we struggle to create chances like we did last week, or Richarlison misses a handful of sitters then it‘ll begin a narrative of the team being unable to cope without Kane.

The defence isn’t finished yet, so of course the team deserves a little slack. But losing by three or four goals would be a huge blow to confidence.

We have to show we can remain competitive. Performance will be more important than the result, but like I say we can’t afford to take a hammering.
Yea I meant within reason the result is a free hit, assuming we put in a good performance but agree with your points and hopefully it just clicks and we batter them anyways

I'm really surprised the amount of people advocating Son playing up front. We know Son will not challenge for any headers, is weak in physical duels and can't hold the ball up. I don't understand how that is even considered an option.

You could arguably say all of the above about Richarlison too. But he doesn't offer the goals that Son does
