It probably will be a ballot, the arsenal game was. The cup final was just loyalty points as per standard procedure for finals/ semis I think

Made sense for just 2000 but 10000 is half of all the previous season ticket holders pre new stadium, so very justifiable to do via lost points.

Think they already said all home matches would be via ballot, with those who've previously got tickets through the ballot (for Arsenal or Antwerp) unable to apply. So that leaves 46k eligible, 10k tickets, but 6pm on a Wednesday at the end of a poor season and with people still cautious at the very start of restrictions easing... maybe 30k or so will apply?

I’m assuming if it is a ballot it will only be available to home season ticket holders?

Subjective whether it’s the right decision, those of us who’ve made years of sacrifice too build up a healthy bank of loyalty points probably feel we deserve preferential treatment, but equally if that’s the way they do it, so be it.

Whilst I pretty much agree with you on balance it probably makes sense to make a home fixture to all ST holders available via a ballot system

Away fixtures have always been distributed by way of loyalty points and a equal opportunity for all ST holders at home, to attend, feels right

That’s fair. I’m just a bit bitter at the obvious rigging of the ballot to ensure the Spurs bloggers and anyone with a social media presence got selected for the Arsenal home match.

Yes I’m amazed how these 'new' vloggers etc always get tickets these days. Does make you wonder!!

Do we need to be vaccinated to be season ticket holders?
Nope - even if the government does insist on 'vaccine passports' (which they're not for e.g. the games in May with 10k supporters) you'd be able to take a Covid test instead. And in any case, everyone should've been offered at least the first dose and a large majority the second before the start of next season.

Come on mate. There’s been a global pandemic and people have been locked in their houses for a year and have missed the escape of going to football.

Many of us would have lost money/jobs and now those same fans are being forced to take time off work if they want to attend. Losing more money if they’re self employed or take from their holiday allowance, it’s bullshit.
Happy? I tolerate it but no more than that. If Sky fucked off, the 6-figure-a-week salaries ended and matchgoing fans became the priority again I'd be over the moon. It's not like it helps Spurs when all our rivals get the same or more, it just helps footballers and shareholders at the expense of everyone else.

You both seem to think I was saying it's acceptable, which I wasn't. I even said "I DO get the frustration".

I was just saying none of us complain about the tens/hundreds of millions of pounds that we've received.

Every transfer window, or when talking about the costs of the stadium, there's posts on here that say "well we get £Xmillion for TV rights which will go towards/cover them.

I don't know how I'm supposed to explain myself properly. But I certainly wasn't dismissing anyone who isn't happy.

Genuine question (from a ST holder with enough loyalty points to have got a league cup final ticket comfortably):

Do you really see it as years of sacrifice? If so, why do you do it? I do it because I enjoy doing it (though in all honestly that enjoyment has now all but dried up).

I’ve applied and I guess about 1 in 4 chance of success but I’ve been waiting so long to get back there, and hopefully watch Bale live again I will go if I get lucky.
