Was very sad to see how shaken Paul Merson was when he was talking about it. Tears in his eyes and his voice was very shaky. He obviously had huge respect for Ugo and it hit him very hard. He can have a day off from my usual opinion of him.

He was in bits. They should have stopped the interview really. Wasn't fair on him at all
Never met him, seen him or spoke to him, but this story choked me up big time. 44 years old is no age to lose anybody, let alone a father and a husband...this guy is 1 year older than my dad, probably fitter, probably healthier. Such a tragedy that these things happen, no justice in this world sometimes...
RIP Ugo, all the best to his friends and family at such a hard time<3
Been great to see the support from other clubs too. Tragedies, in all their darkness, are lightened only by the unity of football as a sport. Let's hope for a good, clean, fair match tomorrow, and win this one for Ugo!
I would imagine Paul wanted to do it, he would have been upset before he went on air too, there's no way they would have forced him to talk on TV if he didn't want to.
