OK, so I've just finished inhaling a load of nitrous oxide and thought I'd ask the question...could we win all of our last 6 fixtures???

If we look back at our performances over the past month or so, it would be a firm 'not a chance'.

After beating Chelsea and Arsenal I was super positive and thought our run-in looked fairly straightforward apart from the Man City game - we were unstoppable...now I look at it and think we'll be lucky to get 8 points out of that let alone 18...

Can our players put in 6 performances of their lives - proper blood, sweat and tears...taking no prisoners.

Newcastle (a) - are awful at the moment, i'd hope we go there and win bu knowing our luck this will be the one game Newcastle turn up
Southampton (a) - sill in the hunt for top 4 and playing some nice football...a tough ask but do-able
Man City (h) - they're having a blip but that won't last...I'll be prepared for the Sergio Aguero show once again at the lane
Stoke (a) - never an easy game but one we should in theory win...always a battle.
Hull (h) - see Newcastle
Everton (a) - a tough end to the season, but they won't have Lennon and will hopefully have started their holidays

Also...If we did manage such a seemingly impossible feat...would 72 points be enough for a CL place - surely it would be a close run thing???

So my conservative prediction is WDLWWD...11 points. Anything more will be a bonus.

What say you?

Think you in the likely ballpark would not suprise me if it was as low a 6 though, I dont think we have looked right since the liverpool away loss, and the disappearence of Dembele and Lamela.

I think we will be crap for the rest of April, only to pick up a bit of form in May.
We'll get 1-3 points total vs. 'castle & saints.
We'll surprise everybody and beat City, 'cause that's just what we do when it doesn't matter.
We'll win vs Stoke & Hull, but eventually loose points vs Everton, because the season is over, the results won't matter to us and we'll be in EL anyway.
That is... yeah, 11 points.

Obviously yes, but given recent performance answer must be no. At the moment I think 4 points is realistic, point at Newcastle might beat Hull.

I think it's obvious from our past 2 performances that we don't have it in us to finish strong. You have to look at the momentum as the biggest sign of who will finish strong. We have no momentum at this time so really it's difficult for us to dig ourselves out of this bad run. A big win could change the mood of the players but we're so inconsistent I'm not sure we can follow up with back to back wins. The win against Leicester should have been an upturn but the international break was followed by 2 poor performances.

The away games are the tricky ones. Our form away to Newcastle, Stoke and Everton is not very good and Saints away is always a tough one. I think City are in a similar downward spiral to us at the moment so I actually feel more confident we'll win that than any others, but then Hull at home is the type of game we throw away too. I think 4th is a stupid aim now, we wont win all 6 games and even if we do I still think we'll miss out. I think we'll finish 6th.

I'll actually be surprised if we win another game this season the way we're playing.

Looks like the players have given up a bit, or are simply too knackered, and I think they're just seeing out the season.

They certainly seem to be playing through the motions. The only thing I'm really hopeful for now is to see Kane break the 30 goal mark.

Newcastle are crap; but we'll be worse
Southampton; we got no chance
Man City; their blip will end at WHL
Stoke; yeah right
Hull; see Newcastle
Everton; our lot will be on the beach while they're still packing

I'd be surprised if we got 4pts from that.

Sundays game against Newcastle will be a TV spectacular.. Two in form teams with creativity to burn. Expect loads of goals and excitement. Alternatively there is always the snooker!

Bar Hull at home, it's perfectly feasible we don't win another game this season.

More pertinently, does anyone even care?

To win games we need to score goals and to do that we need to create chances and since we can't do neither at the moment we may pick up a couple of nil nils and get beat 2, 3 or 4 nil in the others.

City lose 6 in 8 and its a blip
Spurs lose 4 in 8 and you can't hear yourself think for the sound of gunshots and rubber ropes twanging.

:D

The difference is City have:

The quality to turn it around.
Will likely sack Pellegrini and get a new world class manager.
Can ditch players for peanuts and sign pretty much anyone they want in the summer.

Whereas we've been pants pretty much all season, have a squad riddled with issues and an awful transfer policy of signing players we don't need, 2nd raters and forgetting to sign players in positions we desperately need. Nothing wrong with the signings for the future but the 1st team squad signings are either non existent or p*ss poor.
