The three standout players for me were Bale, Sanchez and Reggie. NDombele almost came into this group.
The rest were mostly good. Alli looked lovely when he came on.
The one big difference (I appreciate that Woods and Barnes didn't start/play) but being on the front foot meant our defenders seemed more comfortable on the ball and defending. Sanchez looked a different player. It just goes to show by controlling the game our defenders had more control instead of dealing with non-stop pressure. We kept the ball and kept minimising any momentum Burnley could try to gain.
This is why we need to control the ball more. NDombele was superb in transitioning play from defence to attack.
Mourinho 7 - either he finally got through to the players or he finally let the team settle into trying to control the game more. Starting Bale was a great decision. I was worried he would make the team sit back but he let us stay in control and I liked that.
