He may have gone unnoticed but I believe he had a very steady game deputising for Hojbjerg and Bentancur so he is my MOTM - Sarr

TBH Sarr not far off motm, probably give it to Kane though. Notable mentions for Gil, Sanchez (and say it quietly) Emerson.

thought Sess, Skipp and Son were below par. Was hoping Son would kick in after Wednesday but he’s still holding on to the ball far too long and his all round play his too slow.

Gil MotM for me. Always wants to make something happen and has ridiculous energy levels.

Sarr started off shakey but grew into it well.
Lovely Kane goal.

Too many players holding onto the ball and trying to fend off an opponent when a quick easy pass is on. Poor pass selection and execution. I think a number of our players lack in game footballing intelligence.

Tanganga and Sess not good enough - but are HG so cannot see them both being replaced anytime soon.

Ideal game to start Spence - opportunity missed.

Skipp looks lost at times but will hopefully recapture his pre-injury form soon.

Bryan, Kane and PMS the bright lights today.

Gil MoM for me. He akways makes something happen

Kane good when he played deeper in 2nd half
Sarr very good and terrific at regaining possession
Our defence was OK and untroubled
Wingbacks were ineffective at getting past last defender and crossing
Skipp/Sess/Son average at best

Skipp i thought did really well. Loads of energy to push into forward areas which he did constantly. A couple of heavy touches aside he dovetailed really well with Sarr who loves that quarterback role in front of the defense.

From nowhere Sarr looks ready to compete for a place. He's nothing like Dembele except that he doesn't lose the ball. Moussa certainly wasn't a passer but Sarr certainly is.

Japhet is starting to look a bit leaden and is overcompensating for his poor anticipation by rash and aggressive tackling. The composure of his youth isn't there.

Everyone else played their parts.

Sarr and Gil were good but Kane was head and shoulders the best on that pitch.

Shout out too for Sánchez who did everything well.

Skipp & Spence need Prem loans for second half of season.

I agree Kane is head and shoulders above anyone on that pitch today, but didn't play like that for the full game. So for me it was Sarr and Gil who performed at a top level for them through out the game and would deserve MOTM more IMO.

Skipp and Tanganga look like they need game time to build composure and sharpness. Unlikely to happen at Spurs so could benefit from loans in the second part of the season.

Not the game for Son who is best when he has space to run into.

Everyone else did their job against well drilled opponents, including the wingbacks.

Moment of class from Kane to win it.

Very good (7) Kane, Gil, Sarr.
Goodish.(6)........ Sanchez, Emerson
Not that good. (5) Skipp, Son, Tanganga, Davies, Sess

Forster. One good save and then a bystander.

Not a match which will be lovingly recalled, dour and pedestrian,

Kane. One moment of magic from him won us the game. Without him we'd be playing until next Tuesday and still not looking like scoring.
