I am struggling to pick which attacking game was better. This or the Man Utd 1-6 earlier this season

A welcomed attacking and counter attacking performance

A welcomed defending display

A welcomed 3 points

A welcomed clean sheet

A welcomed return to my MOTM Gareth Bale who I called a busted flush several times this season but what do I know? I humbly eat my words Mr Bale

(On another note, Lucas need to check his studs before the next game! ?)

Welcome 3 pts and Bale MOTM for me. I also thought Sanchez had a very good game and deserves credit.

This team going forward with either possibly GLC or Dele for Moura.

Strong mention to Sanchez who was brilliant today. Kane and Son not quite in full swing but still doing it, Bale bringing the extra zest to make us look really classy. Lovely Lucas finish, could have had more.

Balo brings the payload and takes motm

Yes, I agree, should have mentioned it as he does get alot of stick so he should also get credit when he does well.

Bale MOM but thought Sanchez also had a great game.

Lloris 7
Aurier 7
Sanchez 8
Toby 7
Reguilon 7
Højbjerg 7
Ndombele 7
Moura 7.5
Bale 8.5
Son 7
Kane 7.5

Lamela 7
Dele 7
Doherty 7

Mourinho 7 - Hopefully he’s finally realised he needs to pick a more attacking line up and take the hand brake off to save both our season and his job.

Bale will get the headlines - assist for Kane goal especially delicious - but excellent performances too from Ndombele and Sanchez and all-round a v good performance. Won’t be surprised if Jose starts same XI on Thursday, injuries permitting.

Sanchez MoTM for me. You kinda expect that kind of performance from Bale, but Sanchez has never been so composed, intelligent and Aware as he was today. Brilliant defending.

Whole Team deserves praise along with the coaching staff. Looks like we have some of our mojo back.

Credit where credit is due.

The front four all great even if Son, Lucas & Kane could have scored another each. Both full backs were excellent, didn't put a foot wrong. Midfield was excellent, particularly Tanguy.

Want to highlight the centre backs though, particularly Sanchez. Both played really well and dealt with both the aerial and ground threat. Not saying that this is the problem solved but both put in an excellent showing today.

Subs all played okay as well, can be difficult to come on when the game is effectively finished.

Thought tactically this was great, foot down attacking for 60 minutes. Then when the game was won we slowed the pace down and looked to counter. Probably should have had another couple in the last 10 minutes. Thought today we got the balance right between attacking and Jose seeing games out.

Same team Thursday for me, reward the teams performance by playing the same XI.

Would like to see Dele start on Thursday but that was really promising.

Difficult to know how good we really are given Burney's performance but having Bale, Kane and Son all finding form at the same time whilst keeping a clean sheet is obviously a massive positive.

Would love to see Sanchez and Toby build a platform for the rest of the season in defence as they were both excellent today.

I'm going to buck the trend and vote for Sanchez too. He's had so much flak that it's nice to see him have a good game and be a major contributor to a rare clean sheet. Bale can wait til next week.

Probably won't get mentioned but Sonny put in a proper shift today.

Burnley being weak offensively but normally well-drilled defensively, I went with Bale. If the opposite were the case I would say Sanchez.

For me it’s bale, but there’s no way I’m arguing with anyone who votes Sanchez. Was a rock. Defending space is the most difficult thing to do as a CB, and he did it faultlessly.
