Can't believe there's actually people wanting us to lose to City next Saturday. Liverpool aren't even our fucking rivals. It's a completely different argument if it was Arsenal or Chelsea, but Liverpool? Liverpool's fans are annoying as fuck, but it will wind up United/Everton fans a lot more.

Not finishing in the Top 4 could set our club back years, winning at City in the league pretty much guarantees us CL football for next year.

Also knocking Kyle "I want to win trophies" Walker out of the CL and PL in a couple of days, would be justice!

Don’t under estimate West Ham in their cup final and their desire to be the first team to beat us in the new stadium. It’s the one game I’m concerned about, especially without Kane who always scored in derbies.
Exactly - this is the game that worries me a lot. Their muggy shit **** fans will be well up for it so I hope we will too (historically the atmosphere has been fly against that lot from our perspective for some reason).

Still a few twists and turns in this race yet I fear. Hopefully Brighton beat Cardiff on Tuesday to take the pressure off of them when they come to our place next week.
I’m assuming we won’t get any change from the game at City on Saturday so 3 points against Brighton are a must.

our last 3 games are all potentially dangerous, even more so if we have CL SF before/after. All of those teams have got dangerous players, playing without pressure. Brighton will try to park the bus and it will be better for us if they beat Cardiff on Tuesday

I agree they are going to be up for it but they are very toothless this season on the road. We will need the likes of dele to step up and start banging in the goals

If the scum lose to Watford we can afford to drop points at city . As long as we beat Brighton at home , and if city beat utd for us then we remain in 3rd

Watford winning tonight is massive for us. I just hope they make it happen but I just don't trust the scum not to turn top when they need to.

The way their away form has been the last couple of years, they're having a massive "win" if their team bus even finds the opposition's ground...

I fucking hope so - I would love to destroy them. Beating us Is like winning a trophy for those jellied eel eating mugs and they'd dine out on it for years to come. They were the first away team to win at the Emirates and still roll that fact out to this day.

I hate them

Just need Watford to take points off Arsenal now.

Massive game for them tonight. They’re the only team in the league this season that haven’t kept any clean sheets on the road so you’d think Watford are pretty much guaranteed to score at least 1 goal.

Having said that you kinda think they’ll surely sort it out at some point so I’m half expecting a good performance from them. Going to be interesting. Tough to call.

If they drop points tonight I think they’ll miss out on top 4. That’s how important I think tonight is (and part of the reason I think they’ll turn up) win the game well and keep a clean sheet I think it will give them massive confidence going into the tricky away games of Leicester, Wolves and Burnley.

Arsenal need to attack, whenever they've tried to attack on the road they've left a ridiculous amount of space for the opposition to exploit and their defence is vurnerable, not to mention they are without their best defender for this and the Palace match, will be very surprised if they win tonight.

Added to Arsenal's defensive woes on the road, Sokratis, their best defender this season, is suspended. Enter Mustafi...

Watford should really be up for taking at least two points of Arsenal tonight. If they do, we can afford to get beat this weekend.

I almost think Watford taking at least a point from Arsenal tonight makes too much sense. Have a sneaky feeling the goons might win tonight. Really hope I'm wrong as it could be the difference come the end of the season. Form suggests Arsenal will slip up in 1 or 2 of these tricky away games but you never know with them towards the end of the season.

If we finish above Arsenal I think we'll get top 4, especially as Chelsea and Utd still have to play each other and have some tricky games themselves.

Looking at the remaining fixtures I think we will have to severely balls things up to not get top four.

Taking a fairly pessimistic view:

Chelsea will secure 10 more points (dropping points only against United away) = 76 points
Man United will secure 8 more points (drawing against Chelsea and City, losing to Everton) = 72 points
Arsenal will secure 10 more points (wins at home, plus an away win and a draw) = 73 points

If we win our three home games (leaving us on 76 with a far superior GD) I am very confident we're home and dry.

and Watford, Leicester and Everton have all to play for a place in the Europa league via 7th place.

I'm starting to think 76 will likely be enough too. 79 would require incredibly bad luck to fall short (Utd winning every game and overturning +11 GD, whilst Arsenal drop at most 2 points from their final 6 and have superior GD).

It's in our hands, which is the most important thing. Although any help from other teams would be gladly appreciated with our injury record!

Given what happened on the weekend I would say that all those teams are trying their best to avoid 7th place and the ball ache that is the Ropey league.
