but the way you have worded this says that he has gone backwards since arriving at spurs, the reason everyone is disagreeing with you (apart from nic, who secretley thinks that keane is satan) is because you have not explained your views correctly

To be fair to P-L-P, I kind of understand what he is saying. If you disregard Leeds completely it is fair to say Lennon made more of an impact in his first season. I don't think he has gone backwards as a player, in fact I am sure he is technically a better player now and has added things to his game. However adding things to his game may be exactly why he isn't doing the thing he does best which is make those direct runs which scare the bejesus out of defenders.

I fully expect Lennon to be back his frightening best next season and it is way to early to write him off.

The Keane thing though P-L-P you are going to have to explain to me. He is a far better player now in just about every respect to when he first signed with us, regardless of whether you expected him to be our version of Ronaldo or not.

DISAGREE WITH Robbo,Dawson,Chimbonda,Lennon,Keane-so all infact!

Robbo got better than he was at Leeds now he's tailed off a bit.
Dawson is far better than he was at Forest.
Chimbonda is the same player he was at Wigan but in a better team so doesn't stand out.
Lennon is far better than when he was at Leeds.
Keane has improved massively.

So shussh.

That is exactly what I am saying. Why everybody is getting on there high horse about other clubs is beyond me. I only care about Spurs.

I think people are getting to focused on the Keane point, I have name 15 or so players in that list.

It seems to be boiling down to two players.

Lennon has gone backwards during his time at Spurs.

GOING BACKWARDS AT SPURS, YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY GOING TO MAKE COMPARISONS WITH PREVIOUS CLUBS.

Is it that hard to understand PLP? Read your title

Lennon has gone backwards during his time at Spurs.

When Lennon first joined Spurs, he hung out wide right and stayed there, rarely did he track back and help out the RB. Now, he pretty regularly does his share of the 'dirty work', and so is not always in the attacking positions he was when he first joined. Therefore, overall, he has progressed at Spurs.

Try watching what players do when they DONT have the ball, and you may get a more balanced view of progression.

EDIT : And you are conveniently ignoring the requests for you to detail why you think Keane has gone backwards / not progressed. I am not suggesting he does not go through lean periods, what player doesnt? (In September, C.Ronaldo was being criticised because he hadn't scored a league goal yet. ) But overall, he has progressed pretty much every season with us.
