Before anyone posts, the story about us agreeing the Bergwijn fee is fake. It was tweeted by a fake account of their most reliable journo, and Alfredo Pedulla didn't notice the account was fake and wrote a whole article on it.
Bugger, I was hoping this bump was because we had agreed a fee.

Not that I particularly want Steve to go, just that he's not getting game time here, is a decent player and recoups a bit of wedge for us to spend elsewhere.

We should sell for the appropriate fee and not get mugged off by Ajax just because the player wants to leave, we’re not a charity after all!

He’s shown on international duty he’s a decent striker.

What does £30m buy you in the striker market?

Not a lot!

People complain about Levy being stingy over the years on transfers, just check out Ajax outlay on players transfer fees over the years , they will not offer big for Stevie.
Levy is a spendthift compared to Ajax.

Ajax trying to lowball us for Bergwijn whilst reportedly rejecting a 30m Euro bid for Martinez from the Scum

Bergy and 50m for Osimhen. Napoli just lost Insigne down the left side.
This makes a lot of sense. Ajax clearly can't/don't want to pay the money for him.

If we are waiting for Ajax to make an improved bid we will be waiting a long time, he s a good player and worth 25-30m, we shouldn't be selling him to Ajax at half his value.

Worse comes to worse, loan him out.

Would've liked a few quid more, so hopefully there are some add-ons/bonuses.

Still, it's 20m in the coffers to spend and Stevie gets to go home. Can't really complain.
