Hmm, lost in translationWhat’s more telling in that quote is the ‘they sent him away’.

But football clubs shouldn't operate on the back of 'huge pressure from fans and the media', which was my point in replying to your first post (I know Scarlett and Parrott aren't ready yet). And, even so, he has just brought in another exciting attacker in Manor Solomon, who is also capable of playing as a number 9. Were Kane to be sold, pressure or no pressure, the money could be (and maybe already is being, but hopefully not) better spent elsewhere on the squad.Because Richy was bought as a Kane backup/LWF rotation and both Scarlett and Parrott struggled on loan and aren't ready yet. Given how poorly Parrott did at Milwall, I don't think he's going to make it at Spurs and Scarlett needs at least a season or two more to develop - neither are close to PL-ready atm. Even if we used Rich as our first choice 9 we'd still need another forward option I think, or at least a top class wide forward to rotate with Son if he were to become Richy's backup.
Not to mention the huge pressure from fans and the media to at least sign some kind of forward. If Levy sells the best striker the club has ever had then doesn't even bring in another exciting attacker he'll get so much shit.
So back today , have a few tests on physical condition etc, couple of days kick about then probably fly out to Australia on Saturday , it's all go.That was July 9th - all the players (expect maybe Skipp, as he just wrapped up winning the UEFA European Under-21 Championship) are due back July 12th.
Still no sign of him in the training
We waited years for a quality back-up/rotation for Kane and finally Richarlison was brought in. If Kane goes then we will be back to needing another quality CF to fill that position. We happy for him to be our n.o9 if Kane goes if we say used the money to buy 2x CB,s a CM a goalscoring RW and a back-up ST?
Or would people prefer that we went and spent big on a Vhalovic, Toney, Muani etc?
If the latter then Richy £60mil on the bench seems a bit of a waste.
I'm not decided either way how we best approach this, he looked great for Brazil and I think he fits a pressing style forward Ange would want but he's not quite done it in a Spurs shirt yet so would be a bit of a gamble.
Agree but would you have Richy as our 1st choice n.o9 or bring a new one in and Richy remains the back-up rotation option? We waited years for a quality back-up/rotation for Kane and finally Richarlison was brought in.
