It could be certainly, but I'm not sure there is one player who could enjoy football, enjoy going out on the park, will have confidence etc knowing that at any minute you will be poleaxed, the ref will dismiss it and the opposition manager will say its because youre from England. I dont know anyone that would 'do well'.

Refs certainly don't dismiss giving Rangers decisions. For example, they have been given 12 penalties this season, 4 times more than anyone else.

As for whether the player is from England or not...struggling to see the relevance of that.

Milos V good enough. Bentaleb good enough. Examples.

lol How the hell has Bentaleb been frozen out, he is coming back from an injury (which he has already had a setback in), Poch picked him whenever possible last season? Whats your evidence for Milos definitely being good enough, who would you put him ahead of in our current squad? Which players in recent season have we let go from a U21 level that went on to tear it up else where?

Bentaleb continually left on bench. Milos regular captain of u 21s. World Cup winner and captain again. Seen him play lots. As midfielder ahead of Onomah, Winks, as defender could have been rotational centre back. Unexplained mystery.

I think Poch, as he has done in the past is not rushing Bentaleb back, I doubt he is being frozen out given the time and effort put into his contract. I havent seen enough of Milos, but we cant say whats goign on behind the scenes. One question though, if he would benefit the first team why would Poch not include him?

Yeah, Bentaleb has been well & truly frozen out, I'm on your side here brother (y). Oh, wait......

Tottenham midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has been reassured over his future by head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino said: "From the beginning, he had a problem. He missed 17 or 18 games with re-injury. The team moved on and another player had the opportunity to play.

"But we keep a very good relationship with Nabil and be sure that, if he works like he works in the last few weeks, he will have the possibility to play. It's always about a football decision, and performance."

It wasnt me that said it, it was Burchill after the Rangers Livingstone game. He defended the treatment Nathan got due to him being from England.

Although Burchill's comment was wrong he was trying to protect his young player. He later issued an apology. The way you go on you would think that the lower leagues in Scotland is the only place where bad challenges are made. I see lots of bad challenges in the English Premiership every week that go unpunished.

As I said. Unexplained mystery. No statement from the Club. Something up.

There has been talk on here about him not playing and not signing a new contract being inter linked. I'm sure if you look back through the u21 etc thread you can find it.

Unexplainable mystery :ROFLMAO:

You'd think we'd be running some sort of cult the way people go on sometimes.

Townsend frozen out.

Because he fucked up by arguing with Poch's staff. It's been made clear since the very first day Poch walked into our club. You do it his way, or you don't do it all.

Good!! We've had a softness associated with our club for far too long, so it's high time someone came in and made shit happen.

Burchill's an idiot, he only made the apology due to the backlash, no backlash he wouldnt have said shit.

Were not talking about bad challenges in the English premiership though, were talking about bad challenges on Oduwa, I'm sure if thats something you want to discuss feel free to start your own thread about other bad challenges.

Challenges like this in front of the Ref go unpunished every week in the PL?

I agree, Burchill is an idiot for making that comment. The point I was making is that he was trying to protect his own young player. Is that not what managers do? Most people in the public eye only issue an apology after a backlash.

I never said in front of the ref. I was just making the point that bad challenges happen in every league.

The referee in this case is incompetent. Not sure how he missed it. Can happen in any league though.

The point was the ref's were letting them go unpunished, that wouldn't happen in the PL, so it wouldn't be happening regularly.

Charlie Adam didn't get sent off for the same challenge on Bale (I can't even remember if he was booked).
