Charlie Adam didn't get sent off for the same challenge on Bale (I can't even remember if he was booked).
This one? It's hard to see due to the other player. The Scottish 2nd division has players worse than Charlie Adam in that respect.

Ouch. I remember that tackle - a really nasty one! Could easily have wrecked Bale's career. Tackles like that should have player banned for several months - or as long as the player being unjured is out of action.

Not a great review from this Rangers fan-site. I think the sentiment is reflected amongst most Rangers fans. It's a shame as he had such a bright start and then could never replicate it again.

Not sure that article is a true reflection of what the fans up there thought.

When he posted his farewell message on Twitter, there were a lot of responses from Rangers fans with positive comments and stating they wish he had been used more etc. Very few negative comments. most seemed to think he had a big future and wished him well, would love to have him back etc.

Surprising, he hasn't gone on another loan - maybe (hopefully) Poch has something devious up his sleeves. Oduwa has the skill set and attributes to play on either flank. ...and potentially act as a backup to Kane.

Who knows...

He'll probably go out on loan in the next few weeks. The football league loan window is still open.

windy on oduwa: Has been talking to Colchester about a loan. That's about his level just now. Apparently he is very aware that he has no long term future at Spurs.

WTF!?? Really? That's not good if true. He certainly didn't look any worse than say Pritchard or Onoma and I would be shocked if he's shipped out. He looks a good prospect and would hope Poch only allows him to go out to get him more playing time, with a view to bringing him back in the summer if he performs well.

Sounds about right to me. The more I watched him the more he reminded me of Lee Trundle. Never be a Premier League player.

I've got to say, I'm surprised. He's got a great build and quick feet.

I guess a lot of decisions like this are also based on the development staff assessing his willingness to work and improve and his off the pitch activity. Hard for us to know.

His development has been shocking and in there is a very talented player its a shame we haven't done better. Part of it hasnt been our fault like his injuries and his move to WBA

He's looked a good prospect, but he's never looked as promising as Pritchard or Onomah, let's not be silly.

The thing with this country as a whole get scared of individual talent. This boy has it in abundance.

From my limited knowledge I believe the boy has the ability to be a world beater and if given the chance he will be.

If he was in South America he'd be heralded as the next big thing but because he tries something different and not safe people criticise or try to beat it out of him.

That's why we never produce players like the two Ronnies, Messi's etc....

We've had players of that potential in Rooney or Joe Cole but due to their sporting education it was knocked out of them.

We couldn't even produce a Mahez because every thing is about the team ethic, work rate and all that boring stuff. That can only take you so far as England have shown in recent years

Oduwa wouldn't have been as individually brilliant as he is if he went the traditional route, he played smaller sided games, perfected his skills in local pitches and went into the team game a lot later.

I love the enthusiasm he plays with at this age and he will get better if given the freedom to express himself.

I personally think he has more potential than Onomah and Pritchard and offers something that no one at Spurs has right now.

In preseason he was excellent and was surprised we let him go to Rangers thinking he be best suited staying with us, similar to what Onomah has had.

Scottish football did not know what had hit them and some of the displays he gave were unbelievable but for the British desease he wasn't trusted. Too much of a fancy Dan in their eyes.

If I was in the coaching setup I would send him to Coventry City to build his education and see how he does.

I think disregarding this precocious talent would be a big mistake.

Where did Windy say this Dov ?

Hard to believe at 19 and with his talent that he's been told he has no long term future at Spurs. I'd be amazed if we'd given up on him completely.
