I'm just picturing Alan McInally wandering around the streets on a busy morning, furiously screaming stuff about Kieran Trippier.

Getting better all the time. Great runs, energy, blocking crosses, defensive positioning. He was truly excellent tonight. There did seem to be a lot of space for alonso and Fiorentina to exploit on occasions but Trippier and our defence always seemed to recover well.

Really pleased with how he's come on this season. Offers more than Walker with his balls into the box. I can see him being first choice in the big games come next season if he keeps progressing.

Getting better defensively, although there was the one scary moment where he lost Valero in behind him. I still feel safer when Walker is doing the defending.

if only we could cut trippiers head off and put it on walkers speedy body.

Have to say he didnt impress me early on in the season. But do i look stupid now. what a classy player. His first touch is sublime and he works tirelessly. his delivery is amazing and i for one. stand corrected. i am self fladulating as we speak.

Going forward he is great. He has that amazing cross whereas he splits the space between goalkeeper an defence allowing any striker with smart near post runs a lot of goals.
However time will tell defensively. I was slaughtered on the match thread last night for suggesting he's poor while defending and maybe I'm wrong. I have seen him play twice in the last month live. against Watford he had little to defend and scored the winner, but in the FA cup against Leicester he was abysmal in his defensive positioning and the ease of which a winger heats him and he's left for dead. Big tests towards the end of this season but I must say I'm far happier with walker playing in big games.

I had to look that up:
fladulated
Intoxicated to the point of making an arse of yourself.
Joe and I got so fladulated last night. I'm gonna get so fladulated at Wayno's BBQ.

You're obviously a man that likes to live on the edge if Walker's defending makes you feel safe.

Walker is pretty good defensively, his problem is when he has the ball and can't make his mind up which pass to pick.

Walker is having his best season in terms of assists and end product.

Yeah I agree, he's come along a lot in this respect. His all round distribution is much better and he can also come inside these days and pick a pass. Much more assured player than he used to be, gets his head up these days and doesn't panic.

Trips did great, but anyone who thinks he is better than Walker (based on the last year) is a lunatic.

Tripper is perfectly fine when we don't have to defend

Probably playing wing back is more to his strengths more as he's less likely to get caught out positionally aswell

Never like to see him against half decent wingers though, always gets caught out
