Think he'd be a massive winner if the manager we bring in favours a 3 at the back formation, as is becoming fashionable again.

Not sure he's technical or progressive enough to be a full RB but not sure he's physically dominant enough yet to be a Prem CB in a two, so I reckon he'd thrive as a RCB with a bit of a licence to drive forward and the recovery pace to cover wide for whoever is playing RWB.
Agree, I think right of a back 3 would suit him and would rather like a 3 of Rodon and Tanganga either side of Toby at times. Similar to what Barca have done with Mingueza.

I have to lol at this thread. He's a CB. Always played there with the youth team and people are saying he doesn't get forward enough and gets sucked in centrally ?.

I think his ceiling is very high at CB. Don't worry about height as he springs like a gazelle and isn't short anyway.
Absolutely!

I just want the kid to get a chance at CB. It's ridiculous that he's never been given a chance there.

I also echo the thoughts of others on here that a move to back three would massively favour him.

I think he could be a good RB, Remember Walker came as a CB/RB hybrid originally.

He has the physicality of Walker, with intense technical/attacking training could turn out to be a great full back.

I hope we play him there for the rest of the season.

Sell Aurier and Doherty then bring in Aarons.

He’s decent but nowhere near the physicality or pace of Walker. Mind you very very few are

The ref didn’t do his job of protecting the player today. He should of blown up for a foul before he was injured and it wouldn’t have happened.
It was a disgusting foul.

El Ghazi wrapped his legs around his standing leg, it was just as reckless as studs up.

Hope he's OK but let's not kid ourselves....he's not good enough to play for us
That really depends.
he’s a cb. He barely ever gets to play there.
he’s used at rb despite it not being his position. He’s even played lb, now some people think he can play there too (he can’t)

At least judge him in his true position before throwing him in the scrap heap

That's like the Doherty fan boys saying he should be judged on his performances playing as a wing back as opposed to full back when the guy can't pass a ball 2 yards

I'd like to see him get a loan next season. It's difficult for any player to suddenly come in for the odd game and really play at their best, even moreso when you're a youngster who's being used as a utility player instead of being given time and opportunity to develop in your preferred position.

Send him off to somewhere like Brighton or Norwich and I bet he'd absolutely flourish with regular game time.
