We should try to understand why this happened so we can prevent it happening again. Is Poch pushing them too hard in training? Do the players have too much lactic acid build up? We need answers!

I heard from a good sauce that he has too much tomato ketchup at lunchtimes. Poch and the medical team are apparently looking into banning it, ala Ramos (worked well for him I thought)

What if the opposition happen to drive a BMW? The Audi may not be good enough that day...
Yeah but there's still fcking Lamborghini next to the Audi so BMW shouldn't even start the engine and not provoke this bastard.

I agree. Sure Verts is better then Wimmer. No doubt. It's like driving Mercedes all the time and you swap it for Audi for two months because you need to repair your Mercedes. Audi is good. It's not Mercedes but it's ok. You can live with Audi for two months. But when your Mercedes is back your happy to drive it again. You feel sorry for Audi because it did very well. But Mercedes is just another level.
You work for Mercedes dont you?

Tottenham chief Mauricio Pochettino says he is not going to sign a replacement for Jan Vertonghen, who could be sidelined for two months with ankle trouble. "We have plenty of players that can perform in his place and we are very happy with the squad and the players we have," the Argentine says.

Spurs have been linked with a move for Southampton's wantaway (sorry to use it again, but it's the most apt term) defender Jose Fonte, though former Saints boss Pochettino added: "It's impossible to stop the rumours."

Vertonghen to be back in 6 weeks or earlier is defintely positive news. If he could make the Everton home game on 4th March would be perfect.

Wouldn't be any surprise to me to see him back in 4 weeks. I think people were being pessimistic going by his reaction but if you watch the mechanics of what happened, it's a pretty common occurrence on a football pitch and often players only miss 2 or 3 games and sometimes none at all.

Does the above statement from Poch not read two months, where's this less than 6 weeks coming from?

I think we will definitely err on the side of caution and give him a bit longer to recover.

He does have a bit of an injury history. As long as Toby, Erik and Victor stay fit, our defence will be ok.
