Very good wheeling and dealing, wasn't it. Sending one N' out on loan to buy another N'. Propelled the club forward like nothing else would.

He will be shipped off in the summer .

Guess we're taking points on young French players hoping to find a cheap mane

Not sure about your first sentence but agree with your second. At 21 GKN was clearly bought to see if he could develop into a player that could eventually make an impact on our first team. Whether that happens is down to how much he shows in training and cup match appearances.

I find it confusing why anyone would think a 21 year old bought for 10m should be making an impact immediately when players like Depay - who was triple that amount - never adapted.

He's shown more than Njie in his short time with us. Hopefully he gets another season to see if he can realise his potential.

Hopefully will but he's getting the exact same treatment as stambouli, yedlin and njie

Which tells me poch doesn't rate at all and he'll be off , especially with lamela being out long term and sissiko being kinda shite and he still doesn't give him games

i don't think that's what's been said though. a 21yo coming in from a foreign league and not making much of an impact isn't unusual but for a 10m signing to come in and barely play at all is .. quite weird. he's played 100 minutes less than what njie did - and he had the excuse of being out injured for much of his time here. one other thing that's quite strange is that on the rare occasion that he has had a chance to play he's actually shown some quality, it's not like he's looked like a complete chump every time he's taken to the field.

And he has yet to play with our strongest 11. I'd like to see him play on the left with Eriksen/Lamela central and Kane up top.

And if he really was that shite in training would he even make the bench like he does almost every game?

He has the talent and work ethic, he simply needs more game time to prove his worth.

tbh he doesn't regularly feature on the bench, and we don't really have the depth to have a wealth of talent on our bench on most occasions anyways

I think the reason for that is caution more than anything to do with GKN Himself. Poch clearly has a habit of bedding new players in slowly, and given his age this may be the right approach, however as you said we do not have a wealth of talent at our disposal.

This kid has talent, he has some really good attributes that could help us change the harder games. I am not saying he will come on and kill a game off, but he has the attributes to allow the space for our true game changers like Alli, Eriksen and Kane to do their thing. A lot of the time we overlook the simple things that a player brings to the table for the sake of goals or assists, which are not the be all and end all of football.

He does not need to be a worldie to offer us something different on the pitch, and these days it seems without pace and pressure on the oppositions back 4 we tend to have to play around the box with no penetration (That's what she said). If he is given time on the pitch to really run at and dribble around the oppositions defenders, he will gain some confidence and also put that fear in the opponents, so they will focus on shutting him down thus allowing for more width on the pitch and more space for our game changers to do their thing. Pace and trickery is something we truly lack without Rose and Lamela respectively. He may not be as strong as Rose, or as skillful as Lamela, but he has a bit of both and for me that combination deserves a proper run to see what he can really do. Training games can only do so much.

Pochettino is known, and has said as much in interviews, that ideally he likes new players to have time to acclimatise to their new surroundings, as much off the pitch as on it.
I suspect we'll see a lot more of GKN next season.

French football expert explains why Georges-Kevin Nkoudou will still be a big success at Spurs
The young French winger has struggled for game time at Spurs but fear not

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou will still be a success at Tottenham Hotspur despite his uninspiring start to life at the club reckons one French football expert.

The 22-year-old winger was signed from Marseille in the summer in a protracted £11m move with Clinton Njie heading in the opposite direction on loan.

Nkoudou has struggled for minutes until Mauricio Pochettino and has only one assist to his name, in the FA Cup tie against Championship side Aston Villa, after he came off the bench.

Despite his patchy start to life at Tottenham, L'Equipe journalist Damien Degorre believes that Nkoudou can still come good.

"He has great pace but not only that, he's also efficient in the last 20m and in decisive moments," he said in Spurs' matchday programme.

"I'm sure that at Tottenham, with a coach like Mauricio Pochettino who knows how to make players improve like he did last season.

"Georges-Kevin can be more and more influential as time goes on. In the Premier League there is some space that you don't necessarily have in Ligue 1.

"GK is a player who likes space and he is able to take advantage of that but you have to understand that it's a step up for him to sign for Tottenham.

"The player himself has to know that if a club like Tottenham takes him, it's because he can be better and better. I'm sure he will be."

Degorre explained that Nkoudou is used to setbacks and biding his time and that will help him adjust to the Premier League.

"He has a very good mentality. At Marseille he was not on the pitch for all the games at the beginning," he said.

"He was sometimes on the bench and each time the manager asked him to play he reacted very, very well.

"When he was young he played in the PSG academy. They didn't keep him but he reacted very positively. He knew how to react with Nantes. He never game up and he has that determination.

"Even if he sometimes on the bench, he will never let his levels drop and he has a very positive attitude."

Many fans have called for more appearances from the young French winger and it sounds like they may still see the best of him.

Lamela MKII, seems to have all the toys, just needs to get them all out at the same time.

I tend to think he will come good if we are patient. We'll see.
