I for one wouldnt mind having him back in our squad. He adds something different, and he was instrumental in our success in Europe last season. Teams dont know how to play against him, and I cant think of someone still applying their trade that offers the same.

No point re-signing him. We have 4 strikers (Kane, Son, Moura, Parrott) and he’s a year older and slower and would take up a needless non-HG spot in our squad and £50k+ a week in wages. If we want to sign Lo Celso and Fernandes then we need to be ruthless and not sentimental. Plus Llorente should find a club where he can get lots of minutes (and goals) in what will almost certainly be the last season of his career!

I really hope we've released Llorente because Poch intends to give Parrot some meaningful opportunities with the first team this season. Even if that is the case, Llorente wouldn't be the worst player for Parrot to train with and learn from.

Not sure why we’d try and re-sign him instead of going for someone like Mandzukic who is reportedly available.

If that’s the type of player we’re going for still.

Because Llorente would be happy to sit in bench, mandzukic wont
