Parrott over Llorente for me as I think he'll be class eventually and I'm happy to start him off as early as possible. Same for Skipp, I'd put him in front of Wanyama.
Then in a couple of seasons we'll have Parrott, Skipp, Clarke, Sess etc all coming through as the next generation.

Sad to see people still wanting us to play hoofball by keeping Llorente on. It was necessary last season due to the limitations of the squad but it really shouldn’t be now. We need a leaner, fitter player who can press if we are going to get another number 9. At this point I’d just have faith in Parrott. I doubt he would play in important games anyway.

Llorente scored some vital goals but he was anonymous for chunks of games and killed our natural game time and time again. Parrott all day for me... yes he’s young but he looks to be an exceptional talent as opposed to some other random young forwards at the club.

Thing is its not to have him as back up, it's to have his as our back up back up - or maybe even or back up back up back up. Kane, then Son, then Moura would be our 3 initial choice strikers, followed then by Parrott, in my opinion.
trouble is with those 3 as back ups, we miss a arial and physical plan b like Llorente

I think Parrott would possibly good for some bench appearances/spot starts but I think it's waaaaaay too much pressure for a 17 year old to be carrying the entire workload of leading the line for us twice a week.

If Llorente is happy to stay, we may as well keep him.

He is not a great player anymore, but does offer experience and something different.

My guess is we'll try to sign someone younger in the last few weeks of the window and then return to Llorente if we can't bring anyone in.

As much as I loved how Parrott looked yesterday, he's 17. Even Owen was 18. I can't think of a single striker who has ever broken through in a big way at that age. He certainly deserves appearances, but being a true back-up getting 30-35 appearances I think is something for next season rather than this one.

Llorente in his role as third choice striker behind Kane and Son would be acceptable if we strike out on other options, especially if we aren't paying him 100k/week again.
Edson Arantes do Nascimento scored his first goal as a full time professional when he was still 15. Was the league top scorer and a starter for his country at 16. Played professionally until he was 34. He did allright through his career.

Looking at the signings we are making it seems clear we are looking to have more players capable of playing through balls to bring our dangerous players into play. Given this, resigning Llorente will be somewhat pointless as we clearly aren’t making the signings to get the best out of him as a back up option

I know it’s not Llorente related but I don’t know where to put it. Is anyone else surprised we aren’t signing a striker? Looks like we will be relying on Son, Moura and Parrott! People say about weaknesses elsewhere but I see this as a big gap compared to the other top PL teams.

Not many teams can compare in back ups for strikers with Son, Moura and Parrott really - that’s great back up for Kane.

Son and Moura scored 35 goals last season as strikers. We're fine.

Llorente also offers a plan B. He might not often scores but his knock-ons cause chaos... and in Moura and Son we have players to get on the end of those knock-ons.
this the key. you need optioms in the squad to play different styles. if we cant get another player with aerial ability id keep him
