Wow I bet those CF have done the same to others. Sanchez imo has been very strong rarely get beaten in the air has good recovery speed it a shame our DM hasn't been that great this season hands full most of the time covering our full backs.

I just responded to your post. Never mentioned anything about other CBs in the league.

Name the centre forwards that bully him. I a bit pissed off with what people expect from Shanchez he is not imo fairly judged compared to Alderweireld and Vertonghen.

Just as an example there was a long ball in the second half that he was favourite for but he just lets Arnautovic get in front of him then lets him take it down on his chest. It happens a few times a game, it’s not like he’s being rag dolled every game it’s just that he lets players back into him too easily. He’s just not very commanding as a centre half.

You're entitled to have a say...tbh I didn't notice it. I generally see a Commanding young CB In Sanchez, really don't have a problem with him. I will say though that our more experienced CB haven't covered themselves in glory this season, of that they are dealing with absolute shit full backs and no Dembele control in midfield.

Not sure on him at all. People who go every week will know more, he’s reminding me of bassong.

Don't think so...far better imo.
Its very difficult as a centre back to be in and out of the team as much as he's been asked to do.

Only 22 years old, which is young for a CB, it isn't very fair to be comparing him to Toby and Jan who are 8-10 years older/wiser. How did those two look when they were 22?

We can't buy the finished article, but we can nurture Davinson into becoming it.

That is true we definitely don’t have the control of games as we used too, hopefully we can start to rectify that In the summer.

I don’t think he’s terrible, he’s got some promise, I just worry with some of things I see him do in games.

He made a few errors yesterday but he also did well in a number of situations as well.

He's sort of in and out of the side a lot, hard to get that rythym going.

I think he's still on a steep learning curve but there's no doubt he's got the ingredients to be a top class CB.

Why people continue to make rash statements that will very likely come back to bite them on the arse beggars belief.

If I'm wrong I'll come back and hold my hands up.

It's a forum. There will be players other people love and other people don't.

Fuck me some of you are fannys when it comes to certain players.

All of the defenders were totally exposed yesterday due to the absence of any form of midfield.

It’s no coincidence to me to see the Sánchez and Foyth threads being bumped. They are the youngest and therefore the most likely to make mistakes when not protected properly.

Second half was a joke. I felt really sorry for the defence.

We desperately need to buy at least two central midfielders this summer.

But why run that risk?
You can end up like all the morons who completely wrote Sissoko off last year... that ended very well for them.

If you honestly cant see the potential in this kid then maybe you're just not very good at watching football.
I saw you lashing out like a child at him after the match...'GET OUT OF MY CLUB' lol.

State of you.

If I look silly and he comes good that's a risk I don't mind taking. I don't know any of you people on this forum. It doesn't effect my life in any way shape or form if I'm wrong about him.

Ye I might have lashed out in the heat of the moment at the end of the game. I'm not the only one who is prone to that.

I'm fine at how I watch football but thanks for your concern. I'll be sure to pick up for book on how to watch football and tell people how to do it next week.

I thought he did ok yesterday. Made a few little errors, but also defended well one on one on several occasions.

What does worry me about him is on the ball. Doesn’t look comfortable at all, and panics a bit when closed down. Makes me nervous.

I agree that a lot of comments about players are ott ( I too hate the whole “get out of my club shit”), but I don’t think it’s fair to call people who wrote Sissoko off as “morons”.

I’ve been watching Spurs for 30 years and can’t think of a single player who’s turned things around so emphatically.

Fans who completely write off players deserve to be called that though.
He was playing crap, there's nothing wrong with saying that, its a fact....and you're right, his turnaround has surprised everyone.
But to say 'he'll never be good enough for us', just leaves yourself open to looking really stupid, some might even say 'moronic'.

The problem is some fans seem to think their opinions on players hold weight and authority in the grand scheme of things...which is just laughable, fans are by and large, completely ignorant with regards to player potential...and there's absolutely no shame in admitting that.

You'd think the super scouts and CL winning managers who post regularly on this site would've learnt to keep their powder dry by now...

Yeah I agree completely writing players off with sweeping statements leaves you open to looking foolish. I just think the term ‘morons’ is a bit harsh.
