Not a fan I got to say. He lets centre forwards bully him out of Long balls and gets backed into far to easily. I thought he had promise when he arrived but the more I see of him the more concerned I am

I had similar sentiments about Sissoko last season and I wanted him gone last summer.

I was proved wrong and am glad he is still with us.

Sanchez is a lot younger than Sissoko (yes, I know that they play in different positions but the point stays) and has a lot more time to improve under Poch. Even if Toby leaves, it’s likely that we’d get another CB in.

Did you miss the part where he was about 3 yards off Antonio for the goal?

I saw him make one good tackle and he only had to make that because Antonio blazed passed him after he missed the ball.

Not to mention Diop leaving him for dead in the centre circle as well.

This guy is meant to be the future?

Not for me.

He was Toby's man

There aren't many better players in his age. He is electric at times but he is our future. As someone said, he sometimes has to clear his own mess, but to be honest I can't remember any goals conceded that was clearly his fault. IMHO he will be beast in three years.

Don't compare him to Toby or Jan. They are like the best defenders in the world. They can play in any team in the world. Real, Barca, City, PSG, whoever. When Vertonghen arrived he was just like Sanchez.

I think he is as guilty today as Toby. Also that pass from Arnautovic was class.

Both CBs had a bad day today, Toby's passing was the worst I've seen in a long time.

With Sanchez, he's still a baby in terms of learning the trade of being a centre half, but he's got the right raw attributes to be a world class CB in the future.

Writing him off now is just silly, and shows how knee jerk some fans can be.

Name the centre forwards that bully him. I a bit pissed off with what people expect from Shanchez he is not imo fairly judged compared to Alderweireld and Vertonghen.

Some of you need to watch him when he has the ball at his feet under any sort of press.

He tiptoes and dances around the ball and generally either plays a bad pass or hoofs it out of play.

You should also watch him try to carry the ball out. If he wasn't our player I'd laugh.

Rondon, Mitrovic, Deeney to name but 3 that all battered him this season at one stage.

my advice, respectfully, take a break from this forum, go and get some air and come back tomorrow.
you are at risk of going full Rawk and no one wants to see that happen
DS is a quality young CB - will be world class in a few years but will make mistakes until then

He's not that bad with the ball at his feet, he does exactly what we need him to do and that get the ball into our holding midfielder.

It will all come with experience, and having a run in the team with the same players around him, like last year when he got a proper run in the team with Toby being injured he was one of our best players.

Ok. Thanks for the advice. I'll respectfully decline it.

This is a forum for discussion. I don't agree with people who rate Sanchez. Some people including yourself, don't agree. That's what happens.

Wow I bet those CF have done the same to others. Sanchez imo has been very strong rarely get beaten in the air has good recovery speed it a shame our DM hasn't been that great this season hands full most of the time covering our full backs.

Agree to disagree. I don't think he was even that good last season either.

We've been spoilt with Toby and Jan but still feel people overrate Sanchez too.
