Well, the same people that doesn't care if Eriksen leaves seems to be the same people that desperately wants Lamela to stay.

Says it all for me.

Such a shame that we already had the perfect competition for Eriksen with Sigurdsson and let him go. If Poch had had the chance to work with him we would be sitting pretty
Siggy was a great free kick/set piece player who could score a goal. More similar to Dele in that he was a 10 who looked to get on the end of things and provide the final flick or pass to the striker. Eriksen is a playmaker and his skillset is very different; he makes us tick and sets our tempo. Siggy cannot do that for us.

Isnt eriksen top joint assists this season with hazard. He's having a good season. Even if he does want out, he has done great for us.

I actually think eriksens best trait on the pitch is with 'key passes'. Through balls and balls into channels ect. Eriksen currently plays as 1 of the 3 forwards typically. The problem with making the most of this as it stands is that when kane is fit he plays through the middle with son out wider. Eriksen is not going to find kane with through balls very often as kane lacks that pace. Son is further out wide so he will likely recieve the ball down the channel or most likely to feet.

If you were to drop eriksen deeper and play ball winners ahead of him to control the centre of the park he can then dictate play and hit the 3! forwards (because he will have been removed from the 3 and replaced with somebody who can make the MOST of what eriksen can do). You need a lot of pace either side of kane in the 3 and alli following in from the cm with wanyama or sissoko ball winning. Our rb and lb can move into attacking positions with confidence as they know eriksen can find them znd because we would be solid in the cm area to cover.
Its been a proven method of play for years at various clubs around the world.

Next season id like something similar to this. It would likely be a little too far fetched but the idea remains the same in terms of player types.

------------Toby------Jan-----------
Bissaka------Eriksen------Rose
--------Sissoko------Alli------------
--------Son----Kane----Sane-----

Of course sane is optimistic but i think attainable if we went big. Otherwise somebody similar like sancho otherwise a player like brooks would be brilliant.

Just look at the amount of goalscorers that eriksen could provide 'key passes' too, 4. That is his best trait imo and we should make the most of it. Somebody posted a video on here of him v city and that just shows what he does. Now just imagine that again but with 4 goalscoring players ahead of him.

Eriksen hasn't really played as part of the front 3 all season. He's played mainly in the left point of a diamond, which seems poch's go to positional this season.

Eg.

....................... Winks.....................
...Sissoko.......................Eriksen....
........................Alli..........................

..............Kane..........Son................

I've seen a new value in this deeper position from Eriksen, and he covers the left back as does Sissoko the right back and for the most part worked incredibly hard. Some of what you say is actually happening so I'm surprised you feel the need to call it. However eriksen as the DM part of a diamond I find (to put it nicely) extremely naive.

I'm not looking forward to the Walker-esq jilted lover shit on here if/when he does go. I'll lay some money on the following being the first posts from the heartbroken posters.

"At least we don't have to see another Eriksen corner hit the first man"

Or

"He couldn't make a tackle anyway"

The guys class, he's pretty much the only player with above average football IQ in our squad and his strengths far outweigh his weaknesses. If he does go a replacement should be our #1 priority, ahead of full backs and CM's. He's that vital in my opinion.

Don't know about other fans but, I desperately want both of them to stay. It's just that I'm mentally preparing myself to lose both of them next season, as that seems the most likely outcome right now.

If he wants out the club will know, this is very different from Toby where we were at least guaranteed something. Sell him in the Summer and try for abroad, probably Spain but he would be a world beater in Italy.

No hard feelings, I doubt this love has much to do with cash more finishing his career at an Elite team, if he goes il wish him well and give him a pat on the back.

What a goal and what a player. Week In week out people criticise him, so happy he scored the winning goal to shut them up

Besides the goal, I thought he was a class above everybody tonight, some great passes, especially the one is first half to Moura.

Proper played himself into form and that is the reason you don’t drop him, absolute genius with the ball at his feet.

His demeanour in interviews always crack me up he has that “Just smoked a joint, dont give a fuck” look.

The bloke still can't tackle to save his life, but he is class. There is no denying his quality, even when he seems to be out of the game, or its just not going for him, he can pull out that moment of quality, and at the most crucial times.
Fantastic strike tonight.
