It's funny that a lot of people are either not reading you posts or are struggling to understand your posts. The problem clearly lies with the readers/non-readers of the posts.
Good way to ignore the point again.

Fair enough. Maybe my title was misleading.

I was asking if people disagree putting champions league as a priority behind the premier league.

However my main concern is people replying without even reading the op.

I think i have explained myself adequately.
Just for you @Dougal .

Is it clear or not?

If not, i have serious misconceptions about a lot of things.

We need to make an impression on the Champions League. Winning it is a dream but competing in it helps the club to grow. The club has outgrown the Europa League unless we were to reach the semis of that at the very least. It's all progress then.
Just for you @Basil Brush . My thoughts regarding how we should treat the Champions League. Second reply in this thread.

Yes, agreed. However back to my original point is the premier leage or champions league more important this season?

Anyway we are going in circles.

While i agree, is it possible to win every game in a season?

Today proves not.

We have to look at our priorities.

Unlikely to win every game. But to try to is the key. And if you need to cut a competition loose it's the League Cup or the FA Cup as we'll be back next year no matter what. I don't understand the concept of not having the Champions League as a priority this early in the competition. Play weakened teams? Asking the players to give less? What exactly are we meant to do after one game to make it less of a priority?

Mate, i wont give you any more ratings but can you not understand my points?

Top 4 is champions league next year and a year of experience under our belt.
Yet you continued to give out ratings anyway.

Did I not state that league is priority?

All I'm saying is that we should go hell for leather in the CL this year as well, no point not being risky this year, otherwise its wasted experience.

I do agree and you make good points. I never mentioned the cups.

However the league should be the priority over everything i.e. top 4. We wont win champions league this year but it is a great experience.

No, that was me.

It will be a great experience if we give our all. Otherwise we sell ourselves short and the experience becomes tainted. Such as those years where the Europa League has suddenly got in the way and we limp out.

I think the problem is this line here...

I don't know what i'm agreeing or disagreeing with. can I call in the grammar police please?
Do you disagree with the op saying the premier league i.e. top 4 should be a priority over the champions league with our squad?

Another factor I disagree with is the constant repeat of "top 4". If we are going to rank various priorities, surely PL over CL must mean a higher PL ambition than "merely" top 4. It's about time this club starts talking about some – any – trophies, or at least something that has a better ring to it than "top fudging 4".

Why does one have to be a priority over another? Don't you think the squad we have is capable of doing both? And as was said previously, if PL is the priority why only aim for top 4?

I really don't get the concept that the team should only consider one or the other "a priority". To dare is to do and all that.
