i do wish he'd at least try and dive to save the shots! sort of looks like he cant be bothered when he does that.
I watch the replay of the first goal yesterday and still shout 'dive' as the ball creeps past him in slow mo!!

So you're forgetting Robinson's two vital saves in the first leg, and another good one in the second leg? How convenient. Remind me, how many penalties did Gomes save in the shoot-out? And how many did Robbo save? One each, I recall. And please, spare me the cock about how Gomes looked more like saving the ones that went in.
Knocking his own players over? That was just the half of it. His flaps at the ball were quite as bad if not worse than any of Robinson's. He just got lucky that none of our players could take advantage of them. And you could tell by the looks and words he and Salcido were exchanging that they've built up a near-telepathic understanding in the two seasons they've played together.
You do, but then you watch it in real time and realise that the ball would have been in the back of the net before you'd had time to shout.
you need some glasses old fella as theres nothing in my post that says that so spare me your cock thank you.
gomes may have only saved one but he also got his hands to bent's and o'hara's and with a bit of luck for him they would have stayed out, now i've said it do you see?
and a gk doing his job that hes paid richly for does not constitue a vital save. either way i havent forgot it just like i havent forgot all the blunders he's made as well, maybe you have?
and whats with the neg rep for having an opinion, pricks (not you ss57)
I'm still at a loss about how we would still be in the UEFA cup if we had Gomes in goal.
We'd be PSV Eindhoven.

that is not rubbish, you have to dive the right way to save a penalty, if you go the wrong way you are never going to stop one
Robbo does go about it the wrong way, I would prefer him to keep his eye on the ball and dive the right way every time. While he will not stop every penalty, he will get weakly struck and poorly placed penalties, you can't save them going the wrong way, in fact you have 0% chance
I always shake my head at keepers diving the wrong way in penalty kicks, they are giving themselves no chance at all and when you see a misshit trickle tamely into the net or go straight down the middle, you know that it would have been saved had the keeper waited
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Jesus Christ almighty. I hadn't realised God-like omniscience was a prerequisite for a successful keeper. Now I know.
So, what you're saying is, he should have thought: 'Ah, Daws and Chimbo are going to fuck this up. Onuoha is going to get a header in'? Right…
So you're not blaming Robinson for every goal we've conceded this season? Well, whoopyfuckingdoop and hallelujah. I'm so pleased to know that. But, nevertheless, you feel he was at fault for this one.
Yes, there's the obvious and the obvious and the obvious. You've contrived to miss all three of them.
I'm really looking forward to our new keeper. How many games will it be before the noobs start getting on his back, I wonder?
Lucky you didn't go as we were playing in Manchester......:hello:
