Striking the patellar tendon with a tendon hammer just below the patella stretches the quadriceps tendon. This stimulates stretch sensory receptors (most importantly, muscle spindles) that triggers an afferent impulse in a sensory nerve fiber of the femoral nerve leading to the lumbar region of the spinal cord. There, the sensory neuron synapses directly with a motor neuron that conducts an efferent impulse to the quadriceps femoris muscle, triggering contraction. This contraction, coordinated with the relaxation of the antagonistic flexor hamstring muscle causes the leg to kick.

Yer wot? :duh: :? :eh:

I don't think he could be blamed for either of the goals today and did well other than them as well.

I know these forums aren't here just to have a pop at others or players but jesus H christ, Robbo not at fault for either goals, not sure what experience of goalkeepers you've had but he watched the first goal go in more intent on sticking his hand up for offside, should have tried to stop it anyway and the second goal his reactions were poor. So no he couldn't be blamed for both goals he should be blamed for both goals. Not entirely and needed better protection but he is no longer a top class keeper, end of.

Its ridiculous to even suggest that Robinson was to blame for either of those goals today.

Shall I change what I said then? Before you got mental again. I think he shouldn't be blamed for either goal. Happy?

I'm not blaming the goals entirely on Robbo - as I said our defence were very questionable at times. But everyone's always saying what a great "shotstopper" Robbo is. Surely a great shotstopper would at least flinch when the ball flies towards him? He watched them both without batting an eyelid!

I'm certainly not a knee-jerk - I've not rated Robinson for 2 years! Cerny was dropped for 2 mistakes. Robbos made several since coming back in and looks like keeping his place for the rest of the season.

Listen, Cerny is not having his contract renewed. Robinson has been first choice for a long time and will be given every chance to show Ramos why we need to sign a new keeper for the next season.

I've been crediting him as a reactions keeper for a while now. Where were the reactions for the second goal?

Fuck me that's some High Definition TV you got yourself if you can see if his eyelids batted or not.

Let me ask you this: Would him flinching or batted an eyelid have absolved him of blame?

TO add to that Jenas was poor and gave the ball away too much, Lennon still won't take on his man and I found Berbie furstrating, he think sjust cos sometimes when he sticks his foot lamely up in the air the ball sticks to it he tries to tackle the same way as well.

I am very glad I have resisted to go to WHL because to spend my wages not knowing which spurs team will turn up would be a complete waste, I instead go down to my lcoal club and see guys genuinely gutted when they lose and pissed off that they have had a crap game, and bust a gut, unlike some overpaid prima donnas in the premiership.

If someone can honestly tell me that the players at the club on paper should be 11th I'd think you were either drunk or stupid. however its not a false position for effort and passion.

I aint getting antsy just don't see how he couldn't or shouldn't be blamed for either goal. Regreadless of the bad decision by the linesman how many times do we say play to the whistle and how many times do players not!

As for the second , great header don't get me wrong but Roobo did nothing, didn't even move. I watch enough football at many levels tro know when a keeper has made a bad decision and he made two....equal with the equally bad linesmen.

to my eye, the first goal was more playable than the second. no pace. anyway, he didnt move for either. and thats what bothers me. lay yourself out and maybe you'll save one in 3 or 4 of those, who knows? and that one may make the difference.

Sorry but i never saw that, I didn't realise that the all knowing had spoken.

All knowing not, fervent in his beliefs yes LOL!!

I just thought that poeople were wrong to suggest Robbo could not be blamed at all, I agree not entirely but as a premiership, international keeper yes, or have Spurs joined my local club at non league level and keepers can make amateur mistakes with little or no complaints from the fans
