Ooooof just imagine if we hadn’t been persisting with the silly 3-4-3 and had a 4-2-3-1 with Son, Eriksen and Kulusevski lining up behind Kane... :joyful:
We can never predict the future but I feel we would certainly not be in the position we are today (y)

I have to be honest and say I’m surprised that people are still signing up for season tickets. That’s not a dig to those that have at all, however there is no way in a million years I would even think about getting a ST at the minute.

The last thing I want to do is line the pockets of Levy anymore. All the time the stadium is full he does not care one single bit as he will be checking the bank balance and smiling.

The top of this club is rotten, full of people who care not about fans, the football, winning or glory. The only thing they care about is how much money they will end up with at the end of it all. That has been blatantly obvious from the moment they have walked in to the club. We are basically a glorified development business, hotels, concert stadium etc.

The focus is not football, it’s “entertainment and development”. Until that changes we are totally done as a football club.
Seen a few posts like this and feel compelled to give my perspective.

Things are awful right now. As bad as I can remember really. I tell myself that I’m not sure about renewing - but I know I will.

Yes, It irritates me that the investments I make, whether in terms of time, energy, or money are either not appreciated, or misdirected. However, I support Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Always have, always will.

In my way, I’m still supporting and cheering for Mackay, Greaves, Blanchflower, Jones, Knowles, Perryman, Hoddle,, Mabbut, Roberts, Keane, Modric, Berbatov - you get the picture.

I keep renewing not because I want to contribute to profits or share prices, but because it’s at the heart of what it means to me to be a supporter.

All things must pass. Whether it’s the situation we find ourselves in right now, or our time at the ‘top table’ remains to be seen, but THFC will be here long after Levy calls it a day. So too will I.

Why do you think Ange can't do the latter?
The premier league is at its most competitive point and imo its on the cusp of being dominated by 3 oil clubs

So whilst before you can be shit and still make Europe, now that is unlikely

Realistically with a manager who will take 2 years to settle imo, you have to accept that we might not make Europe next season.

Next year we have this:
CL contenders - Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd & Liverpool
European spot competitors - Newcastle(only in this because they will have juggle 4 competitions and dont have a big squad) & Chelsea
Outsiders - Aston Villa, Wolves, Brighton(they have European football) & Brentford

We are in the second group but we will lose Kane imo with this appointment and potentially be pipped by an outsider. Then in 2 years time unless we are fighting for CL we will lose Romero and Bentacur

Realistically if Ange comes in, where does he rank in the PL as best manager? I would rank him potentially mid table tbh. This feels like Gerrard or even Van Bronkhurst who took Rangers to a Europa League final and beat Celtic in the Scottish Cup Semi's before winning it.

Gerrard took Rangers to top of his Europa League group despite the fact it had Benfica and Standard Liege. People were all over him and yet he has been poor at Villa. This managerial isnt the right move at the right time imo

I keep renewing because me and my friend have gaslit each other into believing that the season we stop is the season when we do something 😂

I really know nothing about her apart from some negative posts on here, so I was genuinely curious about why she has a say in any managerial appointment.
Hasn't one of the factors that has been mentioned is the number of competing opinions in the board room?

Daaaay 62 in the Big Levy House.

/Geordie - Daniel is in the kitcheeeen with Donna.

Daniel - Who's left on the list Donna?
Donna - Ermmm, I think its Potter, Rodgers and some Australian geezer, Postygooglu or something.
Daniel - I didn't like Harry Potter so he is out, Buck Rodgers is a good shout, could be out of this world *giggle* . And the only Aussie I ever liked carried a massive knife and did beer commercials...pencil the Australian in for Australian commercial ventures.
Donna - *Prick*

/Geordie - The door opens and a player walks in, its Danny Rose.

Danny - Hi Daniel, have you heard from AC Milan yet?
Daniel - No Danny, fuck off back to your My Chemical Romance tribute band.

/Geordie - Daniel makes a cup of Smart Price Coffee and walks into the garden, sitting down on the floor in his state of the art Garden that has absolutely no furniture in it.

Daniel - Donna, get off of E-Harmony and listen.
Donna - But I met a guy called Naglesmann, seems really nice, likes to be in control...cough... Yes Daniel.
Daniel - Have you been on Spurs Community this morning?
Donna, Yes I have, its pretty fucking tasty too. AC has been running around naked with his ban stick out, the Slot stuff has really made people hate you even more. I feel half of them thought he was the answer to our problems and the other half are pissed off as you have taken away all the cool *Slot* jokes. Daniel, this is really going tits up now, we really dont look like we know what you are doing. /smirk
Daniel - I know Donna, but its not me I promise. There are rules and regulations coming in in 140 years that we have to plan for, and that means spending money on shit players the Manager doesn't want. Its how we have always done it, its the entire footballing world that doesn't get how it works. If the world doesnt understand giving Eric Dier a new 12 year contract, I weep, I really do.
Donna - What we are we going to do Daniel?
Daniel - We will do what we always do Donna, whatever the fuck we want, I dont care if a few bellends shout *Levy out*, it doesn't move me, besides the Mrs will just pat me on the knob and it will be all ok. Donna
Donna - Yes Daniel?
Daniel - Do we still have Nuno Espírito Santo's number?

I agree with you about the club but if I was in a position to get a season ticket I'd get one in a heartbeat.

It's my club, I don't care who currently owns it, they don't define it.

Saying that though I wouldn't spend a penny extra

I'm confused. So Potter did well at Brighton, a club who have a great structure. He did bad at Chelsea because they're a mess. Yet people think he will do well for us? We're every bit as much of a mess as Chelsea. We need someone who is proven to work in a mess of a club. Someone who can ride the waves and Potter hasn't shown that, certainly not in this league. If we are going to change our structure and get Levy away from football decisions then just get Nagelsmann. There's no scenario where Potter makes sense for us.

He was at Chelsea for, what, six months? After they had replaced a tonne of players, backroom staff, owners etc – I don't think it went well at all, but if we're not willing to give the next manager more than that, what's the point?

I do find it hard to believe that Slot was pissed off by Levy trying to negotiate rather than just pay an inflated price. He will have known that every pound given to Feyenoord was once less pound in his transfer kitty.
It’s the message that it sends. If Slot was the no1 candidate at arguably the most important role in the entire club, pay the fucking money.
Make it clear to him that he’s wanted.
The message we sent with the haggling is that we kinda want him, but only if it’s at a knock down rate...no wonder he signed a new deal.

With respect, this is just a bizarre fan creation idea. I’ve worked in football for the best part of a two decades. No manager would ever think like this. They care about their salary and their transfer kitty. None would give a second thought to a club trying to negotiate the lowest fee possible.

Simply not the case. Statements like this play to the whole media narrative that Spurs are the "Harry Kane" team.

If Kane leaves we arent exactly not going to replace him or play with 10 men are we??
You mean like when Keane and Berbatov left?
