I don't know if he was the 'best' manager that we could have achieved.

I don't know if he'll be a success.

I do know that for the first time in a long time I have already started to foster a deeper connection with Spurs again just based on the little I have read and watched of Big Ange.

So for me - bring it on, and fucking COYS.

I wonder who's going to takeover captaincy duties? Kane, if he stays?

Yeah Kane if he stays, otherwise it will probably be Son IMO.

Or he may want to bring in his own captain, as there's not really a clear-cut choice after Kane.

I think for Ange to get where he's got as a coach he's had to be a lot better as a coach than Arteta had to be. Arteta got his chances because of his playing career. Would love to see the reaction if Levy appointed Pep's current number 2 to be our number 1
I guess, though they’re not really comparable as Ange has been a coach for almost 30 years so him and Arteta are at totally different points in their career.

If we appointed an assistant (with no first team experience) from one of the biggest clubs in the world I imagine they’d be some sizeable push back much like there is to appointing a near on 60 year old coach with no top flight experience. Each comes with pros and cons. I think given the choice between the 2 I’d rather go with someone like Ange but if the choice was between Ange and say, someone like Kompany I would’ve gone for a more up and coming young coach tbh.

Problem we have is we can't shift player because of the market. We can't just get rid of players that don't buy in. Besides I don't really see many of our squad as bad eggs that wouldn't buy into a new manager. Some of them might not have the skillset/ability but I doubt any of them would just down tools.
We have to anyway because the squad is too big. I think we'll see players on their last year released and others who can't be sold will be loaned. Either way anyone who doesn't fit his ethos will be left in the cold. I think we can form a squad already with players who will work for him as the squad is so big. It then comes down to the quality of those and if we can upgrade on some of them. I still expect a few players not good enough left over but if he gets them working hard for the team that lack of quality is not going to hurt us much. Poch certainly had some pretty poor players in his first year but they all brought in. Mason a perfect example, showed great attitude and did a job for the squad before he was sold.

I like the look of him and he's definitely a better fit than a Conte or mourinho.

Really hoping we can all get behind him and do something.
