Me being one of them, i was around 57-58k on the list when i was offered one last year. Decided to take it up, not sure about renewing at the moment to be honestAre you sure about that?
I’d be amazed if 10k didn’t renew that they’d sell them all - unless they were offered to overseas investors!!!
Supporters who were 50k+ on the waiting list were offered a ST in recent seasons…
Lenglet, the typical Conte signing and Dier who Conte consistently praises, plays him every time and wanted to give him new contract. So yes.
If they genuinely think weve moved beyond Poch then theyre more deluded than i already thought (which was pretty bloody deluded). We're becoming a graveyard for managerial careers (not news to any of us on here i know!)Interesting. Poch's not good enough for Spurs now it seems. We've taken ourselves so far beyond his mediocre level of 77 and 86 point seasons, consistent top 4s, semi finals, finals, and CL finals.
Go ahead Levy you clown, get another mentality monster dinosaur who shits all over that sort of record of under achievement at spurs.
NoIf it is the case that JN will take over in the summer, I would hope Levy brings someone more experienced in that can work with Mason. Someone like Harry Redknapp. 10 games, let’s go for it.
"elite" managers in the early stages of their careers do not 'sign' anything unless;Think you’re spot on with this! He needs to get him signed up asap
The rating option of 'disagree' saves this type of spam reply.
Yeah I’d agree with that, I think JN is certainly the more likely for Levy but I do feel Gallardo is the better fit especially now. But like you say, ether would be good.
It is crazy how many names there are flying around and some make very little sense. It sort of baffles me because we are actually in a pretty good spot in regards to our options yet every day the list gets longer with more ridiculous. Really we don’t really need to be looking at anyone beyond JN, Gallardo, RDZ, Amorim, Poch and Enrique. Not that I like everyone of those or that they will all come but they all have merit. And even then you could break it down further to who you could get now, so Amorim and RDZ would be out resulting in 4 very good options.
Beyond that I just don’t get, for various reasons, names like Slot, Galtier, Glasner etc. I know Slot looks like a very promising manager but 4 year’s experience in only the Dutch league just doesn’t makes sense to me when we could realistically get someone from the first list above and the others are just not remotely a good fit for the club.
Idk, I just don’t get why we are making it so complicated. Or rather I do get it and it’s because essentially those at the top have no idea what they are doing when it comes to football matters. But still, it shouldn’t be this difficult.
Well surely he can't fuck this one up.
Can he.....
Surely not.......
Please
I've said 4/5 times over the last several weeks that it won't be Poch. So people either miss the posts or just choose to ignore them. Unless there is a massive turnaround from our side and his, he isn't coming back yet. I'm still under the impression that Madrid is his most likely destination but obviously the sacking of Nagelsmann and inevitable sacking of Galtier will then lead to change in several clubs. Levy always finds problems with each candidate, even with Nagelsmann there are big question marks from some within.
Poch isn't coming back from what I've been told consistently over the last month or so. If something changes and I am made to look silly then ok, but I don't see that happening.
It's been mentioned by others already, but the lack of plan again is embarassing and laughable. I was told months ago and passed on behind the scenes that Conte would he gone (likely before the end of the season), so this isn't new news to the club!!!!
Levy makes mistakes but he's not daft; this doom and gloom is understandable but you'd think we had a history of underwhelming appointments. The only one at the time that was seen as such was Nuno, and that was corrected pretty rapidly.
Mourinho and Conte were "proving we're a big club" managers (given that he was France manager, you could maybe argue Santini was this to a much lesser extent).
Jol, Ramos, 'Arry, AVB and Poch were us gambling on a manager continuing to over-achieve.
Hoddle was a club legend and Pleat/Sherwood were obviously temporary.
I think some fans (understandably, given the groundhog day feel) have lost sight of what a genuinely badly run club looks like - Mike Ashley appointed Pardew, McClaren and Bruce. Villa replaced Houllier with McLeish with Lambert. Everton hired Benitez and then Lampard. All of those were accompanied with slides down the table.
We lost Berbatov and Keane and within two years we were top four. We lost Modric and Bale and within a few years we were better than when we had them. The Nuno season ended with us finishing 4th. We'll be fine.
Agree. It doesn't suit the narrative, but we've achieved par (bar the odd random cup win which is very luck-dependent) and under Poch slightly better than that.Levy makes mistakes but he's not daft; this doom and gloom is understandable but you'd think we had a history of underwhelming appointments. The only one at the time that was seen as such was Nuno, and that was corrected pretty rapidly.

Was that not a Paratici choice? He was daft when appointing Nuno out of panic.
Was that not a Paratici choice?
Tuchel and Nags were both panic options, though. We have no planning at our club whatsoever. Just look at the short-list they've supposedly drawn up: barely a common thread amongst the candidates. We just go for whatever's shiny and/or available. We have no clue what we're about, what we want, or who to target. It's just Levy in a smoky cheese room, throwing cabbages at a dart board.I don't understand the problem here. There was one manager available that was a stand out choice (Tuchel) we went for him and then Bayern took him.
Now we have one stand out choice (Nagelsmann) and he wants to wait until the summer. We have two options, we can panic hire someone now, or we can let Stellini and Mason take the reigns for the rest of the season and wait until the summer.
Of course if we fuck about in summer like we did the Nuno summer then there will be time to bitch. But for now I think this is the right decision.
Yes and daft / incompetent / negligent to get to the point where that had to happen a few days before players reported back for training. Still, I am sure lessons have been learned, right ….?He was daft when appointing Nuno out of panic.
