Well he appointed Paratici to obviously get in bed with Jorge Mendes. He was happy to appoint Gattuso until fans intervened. They were literally desperate in the end.
...is it obvious? Given that he'd already spent two years with a Mendes client, signing multiple Mendes players?

I never thought I’d hear myself say this let alone write It down but I really don’t care who the next manager is. He clearly won’t be backed sufficiently so needs to be a good coach to get the best out of the players we have and that will likely be back in the summer.
I'm interested in so far as I like being on here and reading what's going on (or not) and seeing different peoples views on the matter, its like a soap opera, but as far as the actual manger goes, 1 couldn't give a monkeys. Conte was Levy's very last go at getting it right, and he's blown that (again), haven't spent a pound on the club for 4 years now, haven't watched game in god knows how long, and I don't think even the bald midget leaving would entice me back now.

Think you’re spot on with this! He needs to get him signed up asap
We can't just sign managers up, JN will sign for whoever he wants to WHEN he wants to, the guy is in control.l, people seem to forget this is reality sometimes. All levy can do is seek talks with him and put our case forward, that's all, JN will decide where and when his next move is, Levy cannot dictate that.

Nice snippet from Harry on Levy, when he wanted him to take over. Based on this I’m sure Levy would like the next guy in pretty quickly.

34.17 onwards

True but at that point we were 2 points from 8 games so there was serious need and urgency for Redknapp to come in asap.

Right now we are in 4th and Stellini can carry on or better what conte was doing so not the same sense of urgency for us to get a new Manager in place, we’ll agree someone for summer or it’ll be a farce again and it’ll rumble on all summer. 🥱

Clowns running the football side same mess no plan or direction over and over 🤡

One of the boys I work with is a big Madrid fan, and the biggest noise he’s heard from their end is that a third Zidane return is most likely. Just to throw that in there.

I think the club statement purposefully stopped short of mentioning any new manager for next season because our interim managers (Stellini and Mason) probably want the job full time. They have 10 games left so why would the club discourage them from giving it everything? I suspect Conte will be taking time out from management for at least next season, and if that is correct then Stellini may see his own managerial path. This would of course be underwhelming to most of our support but lets see what these 10 games offer before judging. The lineup and tactics for the next game will be very interesting, and if its more of the same then forget you ever read this ...

This is one of the many that shows how terrible Levy is in managing the football side of the business. But annoyingly he just doesn't care. The whole world can see where the problem lies, but not him. He single-handedly bred the complacency and spoilt nature of the players we have. When the going gets tough, the manager will never get the respect from any one in the club.
This is why we need an actual director on the board, one with power, who is solely in charge of the footballing side. He or she must back managers (within an agreed budget) and have the only say on footballing matters. Committees never work unless everyone is 100% aligned. We need a benevolent dictator working to support the manager. Until we do that, the players will always feel that they have the backing of the chairman over the manager. The history of ENIC's ownership has that set in stone, and it won't change until Levy is pushed out of the football side.

People ignoring the elephant in the room, if you’re a top manager with ambition wtf would you come to Tottenham? It’s almost guaranteed you’ll leave broken with your record smeared. It truly is a shit show. Let’s face it, the likes of Nagelsmann coming will be dependent on two things, he doesn’t get an offer from a genuinely ambitious club (so we’ll be waiting all summer on that) and we offer enough salary to tempt him in August, even then we know how it ends…

I've said 4/5 times over the last several weeks that it won't be Poch. So people either miss the posts or just choose to ignore them. Unless there is a massive turnaround from our side and his, he isn't coming back yet. I'm still under the impression that Madrid is his most likely destination but obviously the sacking of Nagelsmann and inevitable sacking of Galtier will then lead to change in several clubs. Levy always finds problems with each candidate, even with Nagelsmann there are big question marks from some within.

Poch isn't coming back from what I've been told consistently over the last month or so. If something changes and I am made to look silly then ok, but I don't see that happening.

It's been mentioned by others already, but the lack of plan again is embarassing and laughable. I was told months ago and passed on behind the scenes that Conte would he gone (likely before the end of the season), so this isn't new news to the club!!!!
This is so inept it's scary.
As you say, it's been pretty certain for a while now that Conte wouldn't be here next season so our list of candidates should be in place already. I have no problem with Stellini taking charge for the remainder but the recruitment process could/should've started already.

I'm seriously worried about this summer. Doomsday scenario - Paratici walks, Kane demands out, loanee duffers all come back and we end up with another unsuitable manager.

How dare you imply that we, the magnificent lot of SC, only hear what we want to!?!

Thanks for confirming the return of Poch. I'll get my tattoo immediately.

Couldn't you apply the same logic with the stadium/naming rights?

"I’d be amazed if we don’t have the naming rights sorted by the time the stadium is built"
The naming rights have no precedent. But apart from the summer of 2021, we've usually been very quick with managerial appointments.

This current farce just shows piss poor planning from Levy. For such a successful business man you would think he would be better prepared.

Just shows you that in 20 years he hasnt learnt a thing about being a chairman for a supposedly top Premier league side.

He should of had a plan of who was replacing Conte. It's not like Conte leaving is a shock.

Valid. Very valid. But I wouldn't underestimate the pull of a top six premier league club to any manager in the world. This is a very, very attractive job.
I suppose the issue is if the interested party wanted to really delve into the issues in the club and find something they didn't like...

If the club statement read 'We will look to appoint a Manager in the near future' or something along those lines the expectation is greater. This way, they could appoint Nagelsman next week and they look like heroes as they haven't set any expectations.

The only problem I see with that is that Nagelsman wouldn't have been on that list but once he came available had to be included, imagine the rumpus on here if Levy came out and said we already have our list and aren't willing to be diverted from that for Nagelsman, this place would go up the bloody wall.
I'd prefer sooner rather than later but just because it all went tits up once it doesn't mean taking care to make your decision is wrong.
