We finish the majority of our "hard" games by the middle of feb, in fact the rest are mainly if not all at home,,,,
If we are still in touch by the middle of feb ...............then life gets very interesting

Very tough set of fixtures. I would be happy to come away with four points if I'm honest. We will be very lucky not to go through all three without winning.

If it hasn't ended by then, we are absolutely going to end the blue scums run and show the country they aren't all that special. City were on a great run of wins until they showed up to the Lane earlier in the season.

Hopefully their run is over by the time they turn up at our place.

I reckon we'll nick a point at Southampton, squeeze past Watford then beat the chavs.

Southampton are doing well but I think we'll beat them, we like playing down there. I reckon 2-0.

Watford might be the tighter game actually, although I think we'll just shade a scrappy game, 1-0.

1-1 with the Chavs.

Southampton I think will be a tight affair, both teams look strong in defence this year, could easily be a draw but at the same time if we click we could win well. I'll go for a narrow win I reckon 0-1.

Watford I think we'll have too much quality for them, I know it doesn't always work out like that but I think this could be one of those away games where the floodgates open for us. I'll go with 1-3, with Okaka scoring for Watford (gave Jan a nightmare last year in Europa if I remember right).

Chelsea I think has got draw written all over it, 1-1.

I'm going to have to put an acca on all those scores if I can, just in case it happens

Two questions for you SCers:
1) Would you take a draw at home to Chelsea?
2) Would you take a draw at home to Chelsea if they had just won the previous 13 games and needed to beat us at WHL for the outright record?

I think we can win all three, Southampton and Watford are winnable providing we turn up.

Chelsea aren't going to be keen to come to the Lane under the lights.

Agreed on Saints and Watford. But Chelsea will 100% be up for it. They hate us as much as we hate them. Especially if they win their next 2 and are up for the record. They would absolutely LOVE to beat us for the record.

IMO, we need to beat Saints and Watford if we want to look back positively on this festive period. 6 points is crucial to put us in great position for top 4. 6 points would put us on pace for 78 points, which should easily be enough for a top 4 finish

  • Southampton away
  • Watford away
  • Chelsea home
Can't help but feel this is a critical period off the back of two home games we simply had to win.

United have turned a corner for sure, and finally the penny has dropped to play Pogba in a three man midfield. Expect them to get stronger as the season wears on.

I think we need to take 7 points from those 3. Tough ask but I'm hoping we find more consistentcy now. We've been hanging in there but we need to go up a gear or two to last the distance this season imo - for top 4.

What do people think we'll take from those 3 and how much will Poch rotate? Wanyama has played a lot, maybe he'll get a rest against Watford.

If something happens to Van Dyke and Kante, Hazard and Costa then I'd be more confident. Or and Steve fkin Davis.
