Yup, he's the one. Strong, quick, not the tallest (5ft11?) but great hold up play and link play, works his nuts off, scores all kinds of goal including with his head and he's technically very good too.

The most realistic choice. Plus he would be an incredible signing.

With his ability to roam between the front three positions, and the fact that he is a great goalscorer, him and Bale in the front three with Lennon making sure he always provided width on whichever side would be unbelievable.

1 Benteke
2 Michu
Would be my perfered REALALISTIC choices in that order even though Benteke might be out of our price range now?
Dream would be both as michu can play in midfield as well. Michu really reminds me of Berba so much classplays the game at his own pace

One things for sure we need a strike whos good in or out of possession and fundamentally PACEY and a goal scorer. Benteke would be brill but I think we've missed the boat there.

this one plays in the german u-21 team with holtby and his team looks to be getting relegated:

might be a great deal and he's an assist man... 8 on this season so far,.. seems more the wide striker role in a 4-3-3

I'm sure Herr Freund is aware of him... :ninja:

I'll be banging that Benteke until 11:59 PM on August 31st, but Imoh Ezekiel is quickly becoming my "New PEA."

Also, Rodrigo Moreno from Benfica. Reminds me a lot of Leandro Damiao but with more pace to his game. Still an unfinished product, but I have a hard time believing we will be landing a finished-product type that isn't name Benteke.

I'm not overly convinced by Benteke ... as he reminds me of a young Darren Bent and look how that turned out.

Then there's Bony who can't stop scoring but it's in a lower quality league and pretty much every striker/attacking midfielder has hit 15 plus goals in the Dutch top flight.

'When' we qualify for the champs league we should definately be looking at:

Mario Gomez, a big strong target man who can finish and is set to depart Bayern in the summer.

Erik Lamela, 21 year old winger/striker, 15 goals this season for Roma. Downside, Man C have reportedly had an £18m bid turned down last week.

Lukaku, perfect for us and Chelsea are bound to sign someone else, leaving him behind a new striker, Ba and Torres. Would much rather have Lukaku over Benteke.

Although those 3 are excellent targets, I can't see them happening mate. Gomez will be on higher wages than we currently pay out. I doubt he'll take a pay cut either and since he's only 27 he could still have good years ahead of him which is why I reckon a bigger club will bag him. Lamela will not be sold by Roma unless for a massive fee, that rules us out. Lukaku is awkward due to Chelsea, I doubt they'll let him go to us. Will probably loan him out again for another season.
