From what I saw they were around £4.50 per pint. This would be broadly the same as The Antwerp. 50p per pint won’t also make a huge difference. All about quality and surroundings.

Yeah but was that just the price for the test event thing or are those the proper prices? If they start charging stadium-esque prices of 6.50 or 7 quid a pint then it doesnt matter how nice the bar is, hardly anyone will drink there until right before the game

If the Crystal Palace game does get moved it would do us a massive favour.

I'd be very surprised if we couldn't make it in for the 6th April as another 2 months should be more than enough to complete it without having to move anymore games.

I guess it depends if the Palace game is moved to midweek in March. I'm not sure if we would open the stadium midweek. Maybe that wont stop us though and the test events will hopefully be enough to prepare us. Who knows maybe it could still be ready to open on the 17th March (whether Palace go through or not at leats it could be ready either way). Still a little way off yet with time to get the test events in.

the only time it could be played mid week in March would be the Tuesday or Wednesday before the 17th and I believe there are CL matches being played those dates. don't think a PL is allowed to clash with a CL night

It's not strictly forbidden, but they are meant to avoid it when possible. Plus when a match has to be moved short notice they tend to put it back rather than forwards. That leaves April 3rd or 24th - all other midweeks have European fixtures, and apart from not annoying UEFA there's still the theoretical chance we'll be playing with them! I imagine the 24th is reserved for if the Brighton game has to be moved, leaving April 3rd for Palace.

Think there will come a point with the league where they say you have to wait for next season. Do they really want the controversy of a few games at nwhl that could effect the relegation, top 4 and title.

But how does it effect it?

I can’t see how it does but if teams win or lose against us there then they will say it has an effect as an excuse.

Could we not be bumped to a sky MNF game?

It might mean us playing with not many days apart but that won’t bother the tv companies.

We played the 125 year anniversary game on a week night and that was a big game. True not as many people but there were more logistics to plan for than a usual league game.

I've totally kept myself out of the loop with all this. I fully expect us to not play there this season. Any games we do will be a bonus to me.

the only controversy is that spurs are playing all matches away from home and a few games at home is the least this club deserves.

There’s only 2 reasons for these monthly updates and not just declaring next season.
1. They truly believe we will play a game before end of season.

2. Levy has had a very handy £80m interest free loan that he has been able to drip feed repayments rather than refund people in full.

Make your own minds up but I know which is the more likely as time is showing.

All this whinging about an £80m loan from the fans being paid back in instalments....

You know that’s pretty much what a season ticket is... every single year.

This year is no different, except you get your money back rather than access to a game.

Wicked,cheers Ben

I keep asking you the same question, what do you expect the club to do?

if you contact them and say you would rather all your money back in one hit, as you have no confidence in playing at the new stadium and your fed up of the drip payments because they don’t deserve your money, I’m sure they will consider now refunding the rest.

You might lose your ST, but going by the post you provide I doubt the club will miss your support. Going by your post the thought of having to sit near you each match would be doubly painful. I’m starting to get the feel you are a troll

“ this year is no different” yup apart from paying to be in a stadium that isn’t even open ?

I’ll tell you what Ben would you like to buy a years time share in a fantastic Spanish villa. Well actually “tbh” it’s not quite finished yet but it’s ok you can stay in the hostel down the road and I’ll refund your annual payment you gave me upfront weekly. You ok with that ?

I’m pretty sure.... when you bought a season ticket it wasn’t because you loved the old white hart lane.... it wasn’t even because we were building a shiney new stadium.... it’s because you love the team, and want to support THE TEAM ....

If not and you really did just buy a season ticket because you wanted to sit in our new stadium for a couple of hours 20 times per year - then we are probably better off without you.

Yes it’s frustrating - yes we would all rather be at the new stadium, and yes Wembley is a bit shit, but you are getting to see the team play week in, week out - and after 25 games we are 3rd in the league and in the last sixteen of the champions league so it hasn’t been that bad of a season and despite being a bit soulless Wembley isn’t stopping us from having a good season - so just enjoy it and stop whinging.

Life is a better place when you aren’t looking for a negative in every situation.
