These contracts aren't really running "late" at all - only because the original target was never achievable.
I think thats half the problem with life in general work wise lol. Ridiculous targets being set for just about everything and making out its a disaster when it isn't met.
It was just a target.
We were 2.5m short of our expected target OMG!!!!
Still made 15m profit but hey ho lol.
Thats my grumpy old man view anyway ;)

I used to be involved in the management of the Princess Square shopping centre there about 10 years ago. I can see why they would be behind, it's quite a massive regeneration there (they were talking about it a decade ago) and there are a lot of interested parties that would be wanting to get involved. I can't see it being plain sailing for them.

I was on the Partnership Board from 2006- 2013, do you know Helen Barnett ?

That was before my time. I was at a chartered surveyors who were the managing agents of the shopping centre and wider town centre but that was in 2004.

Was she at schroders? I recognise the name for some reason but she wasn't who I reported to.

So looking at the pictures on stadium tv at the minute and past comments, the stage we are at now is... These square blocks in the ground are foundations that the stadium will be built from, and they are now levelling the ground out to do a a slab pour to form the floor of the basement?

Exclusive: Spurs have matched Chelsea’s offer to make national stadium their temporary home, raising possibility of a groundshare for one season....

But, but, but Mr Levy is too tight for that, and will opt for Milton Keynes because it's the cheapest option

I forsee a @davidmatzdorf response calling bullshit.

I've seen worse articles. At least it doesn't go on about Spurs & Chelsea "battling " for Wembley.

Tottenham need a ground to play in for the 2017-18 season while their new £400m stadium is built and are further along in the process than Chelsea, having already started work on the basement foundations and put the contract for the main construction out for tender

The contract for the main structure has already been let. The rest of the "main construction" is not going to be done in a single contract, it will be let as multiple subcontracts, with Mace acting as construction manager. But I wouldn't expect the Telegraph reporter to grasp that.

Chelsea submitted a planning application for the £500m redevelopment of Stamford Bridge, which will include increasing the capacity to 60,000, at the start of December 2015 and the club are aiming to start work in 2017

They may well be "aiming" to start on site in 2017, but that still sounds fancifully opimistic to me, unless Mr Abramovich has an inside route to councillors on Hammersmith & Fulham's planning committee. Which is not an impossibility.
